A lot has changed since this thread was made. Don't just bump it without stating facts.

Warner Bros is the most powerful studio around in the present moment.

Their closest competition down the line this year will be long time rival from the ? Tunes Vs. Mickey Mouse/Donald Duck and Goofy cartoon days Buena Vista (Disney). That's only because they purchased Lucasfilm and Marvel Studios. That will give them some leverage at the box office.
5 of the last 10 years WB has been the number one studio in terms of market share.

and when they weren't number 1 they never fell out of the top 4 unlike Buena Vista

It's a studio that knows how to market it's movies and get returns on their investments.
I never doubted WB as a machine personally. They're pretty well oiled in terms of staying in the black. I just understood the politics behind why things were the way they were before (Green Lantern at DeLine, Batman & Superman at Legendary, Wonder Woman at Silver Pictures etc.) a lot of people on the net of course knew no better cause they didn't care enough to ever research it.
Since that's not the case anymore and their focus going forward are DC, Fantastic Beasts and LEGO movies I think it's safe to say they will finally be able to give DC the presentation it needed in Hollywood now that all the movie rights are under one house (DC Entertainment). It's really no different than what happened with Marvel except that the majority of the DC adaptations where still distributed by WB who owns DC anyway so it benefited their house in terms of bringing more direct money to the company better than say Marvel movies distributed over at Fox and Sony did for Marvel.

Instead of trying to what marvel does, build your universe your way, but they aren't. They too distracted by the dollar signs. At least sony is trying to do something different with spiderman.
Putting too many eggs in the Supers/Batman basket when they could of launched stand alone movies of other properties and maybe connected it down the line, let the other properties stand on their own feet not attached to Superman/Batman like sidekick movies
They tried with green lantern and that turned out to be half assed -

Yeah but watchmen and v were from vertigo or some alternate DC universe. Is consintine with keanu reeves listed as one of dc's flops in this thread? Let's not forget Steel starring Shaq and ray j. See DC warner has tried with plenty minor characters but flopped swamp thing is a childhood favorite of mine though.
