A 14-year-old Chicago girl was fatally shot Monday afternoon following a fight with another group of girls on her way home from school.
But the altercation turned deadly after someone from the opposing group pulled out a gun and started shooting, according to Fox 32.
Victim Endia Martin fled when shots rang out, but was shot in the back. She was transported to University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital where died, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. A 16-year-old girl reportedly suffered a gunshot wound to the arm and was taken to St. Bernard’s Hospital and Healthcare Center in stable condition.
The teen’s parents, Kent and Jonie Dukes Kennedy, told Fox 32 the confrontation resulted from a Facebook dispute.
“We don’t even know, we don’t really know, only thing we know is there were some words exchanged on Facebook,” the teen’s mother said.
The slain teen’s father described his daughter a “beautiful child” and “nice spirit,” according to Fox 32.
Authorities have charged a 14-year-old girl as a juvenile with first-degree murk Tuesday, according to the Sun-Times. The girl’s uncle and another individual, ages 17 and 24, have also been arrested and charged with the gun that was used in the shooting, according to ABC 7. Sun Times reports one of the individuals brought the gun to the scene, knowing there would be a fight.

I was about to ask where the fathers were but the slain girl had her father in her life. What about the other chick(s)? I'm asking because these fathers should have been getting these girls involved in other activities so they aren't just worried about some ? ? when they should be learning....

I learned this morning that the shooting was caught on camera phone by kids watching the fight.. But that's not it...
Her uncle took the bus to bring her the gun to this fight... But that's not all
The uncle is paralyzed after being shot in 2010.
That's right. Wheelchair bound uncle takes the bus to deliver a gun to a kid fight, utilizing the courtesy handicap seating, despite having been shot himself a few years earlier.

Granted, the shooting itself was not gang related, but if you look up and down this young lady's facebook (the deceased, that is), she enjoyed throwing up the pitchforks, reppin GD, etc.... Not to mention that the shooter's uncle was shot years ago, which is very curious. The shooting did not result from gang confrontation but they were both immersed in gang culture. I expect that this spills over into how they choose to resolve conflict.
