Folks, I'm sharing a piece of this poem with ya'll, i've lost to many family members in short period of time over the summer..I now wish for winter... I had to get this off my chest, because it's a burden carrying that load. Not sure when I'll be returning to WTE but the pain I'm experincing I can't find words for...better yet come to grips with..I try and bee's around ya'll... keep doing what ya'll do and know that you guys always have my supoort (VSOP, Real P, and everyone that I breaks bread with in here).. Peace ya'll, take care of yourself and we never know when it's gon be our time, the future holds uncertainties and tomarrow is never a gurantee..love your love ones each day and always forgive.. holding grudges can eat you up if you let it..

I sit here on atop of Mt. Halekala,
with my pen and composition,
it's just me only me and nature.
I think of my lil brother,
thru all the storms we've both weathered,
the trials and tribulations we've suffered.

Yet I not only think of him,
but the uncle I lost 4 weeks back,
before I could say my goodbye's,
his line went flat.
I not only think of Lyman or Uncle Chub
but my cousin I lost 2 weeks back
She had a name, her name was Lou,
not only her but Lialia too,
A name I've given her, she is now gone with her ma.
As I write this, I'm interputed by a call,
yea it was from back home,
I just herd my birth mom blast herself to the dome.

* A moment of silence has taken over.. and I question...

What lies beyond the coldness of death
and then reaches still so far, far beyond?
what sits all empty before all new life,
and that's really all still so bizarreely all alive?

I learned that death opens lifes newest oldest door,
that was never yet let yet there before.
Life requires its stronger bond to death,
to be able to now respond, some more.

A bond of love always, always still remains,
it's unbroken even in the darkness of death.
? 's breath recreates every renewing life,
even as death reads again, it's Macbeth.

Tomarrow's procrastinations will have to await,
better decisions have to come too late,
Gone before the priest could give last rites,
In darkness now he consorts with vargrant sprites.

Beyond the death I wishes to go back in time,
Before the church bell rang it's mourful chime,
before I send lil bro to the store for some wraps,
and was riddled with gunshot blasts,
And before anguished tears had not yet sprung,
Long ago when still promising and young.

In death he sees what life blinded him to,
He'd reincarnate with integrity and virtue,
He would love, serve, abstain, give gratitude and pray,
with faith he would walk in awe of watch and every day.

But chances for redemption ended with Death's rattle
No more will angels defend their soul in spiritual battle
their swords defeated by greed, anger, and ? ,
Ashes to ashes , dust to dust.

RIP lil bro, uncle cbub, cousin lou and baby Lialia, and lastly the women that gave me birth...

Peace...

wow......I'm speechless to how powerful this piece is...death is something that we all are not prepared for....from our time to go to enduring a fallen love...in the end it strengthens us and sheds an after joy that the fallen rise from the ashes to the sky....life begins as death ends...just reading this brings me back to a time when I experience death of a loved one and how much it had a domino effect...in the end i look at it as preparation to accept it when its time to bow out of the show called life....

A bond of love always, always still remains,
it's unbroken even in the darkness of death.
? 's breath recreates every renewing life,
even as death reads again, it's Macbeth.

those lines alone gave me chills....bottom line amazing piece and ? bless the fallen...i hope your time away from the wte is nothing but blessings and influence to rock this part of a fallen site...you are the epitome of why poetry is the key to life...why people write..and the reason the wte will never end despite those that come and go

always keep writing the words that sheds light to the dark called poetry my fellow poetress

    peace

Thanks for the props on this piece real p,

I was hesistant to share this personal piece with ya'll but you know I had to vent somewhere..

Indeed, death is something hard, especially when you know it wasnt the persons time and their life was taken in a blink of an eye.. In fact its something im tryna cope with, but I believe I can overcome, its a testament I'm going through and in the end I shall prevail.. I just hope nothing traggic is thrown my way hereon after..

This drop right here is actually longer, I just share a piece of it with ya'll.. Im glad you can relate and feel this joint too! Thanks again for reading and sharing your thoughts on this topic as its deeper than tree roots..

Peace my fellow poet! Much blessings your way...

This was a great piece... I remember reading it about a week ago but I guess I forgot to comment.

Your stuff is too real; My next step as a writer is to try and open up like this on a track. Keep up the great work.

    This is really heartfelt.
    My apologies for your loss.
They say that the poet thrives in moments of great pain.
Creativity does but I can tell that your heart is heavy.

Keep writing as it's therapeutic. You did your people justice in this piece
