I think most of y'all would say no, and I agree.
But if it is not OK to dress up to put white people at ease, then it is not OK to put black people at ease either. And yet you know damn well that a lot of brothers do this to prevent stereotyping by their own people, especially our women.
So what's the difference, and why isn't this discussed very much?
Now watch some non-reading MFers come in this thread and bash me for saying that we should dress up to put white people at ease.

Dress up? I don't get it...so you usually look like a ? is what you're saying.
I don't look like a ? , but I don't dress up either. Jeans and t-shirt or polo shirt and sweater (maybe jacket, if it is cold). That's not bumish, but it hasn't always been enough to prevent people from stereotyping me though. -

Presentable people are presentable no matter what race you are. You could gave the 360 waves wit a fade and perfect line up, nice skin, with the french cuff shirt n matching tie with the three piece suit and fitted pants and the perfect shoes..some white or spanish couple walks past you and smiles, BUT if they're racist they still gonna think of you as a ? in a suit.
It sounds like you're insecure about your appearance tho. I know people who feel more attractive feel they can get away with more than a person who doesn't feel that way and tries to dress up to compensate. Perhaps I'm reading way too much into this..continue. -
