ESPN Unveils '30 for 30' Sequel, 'The U Part 2,' Among Seven New Films

ESPN Films' popular 30 for 30 film series returns on Oct. 7 and will run with new films for six consecutive Tuesdays, the network announced on Monday.
Following that run, a seventh film — "The U, Part 2" — will make its debut after the Heisman Trophy presentation on Saturday, Dec. 13 at 9 p.m. ET. It will be the first sequel in the series, which covers how the Hurricanes program has been able to regroup from NCAA sanctions. Billy Coben is on to direct once again.
The newest run of films begins with "Playing for the Mob," which is about Henry Hill's role in fixing Boston College basketball games. It will be narrated by Ray Liotta, who played Hill in "Goodfellas." A 30 for 30 short titled "The Great Trade Robbery," which covers the Herschel Walker trade, will debut immediately after "Playing for the Mob."
"Rand University" debuts on Nov. 11 at 8 p.m. ET and football fans will want to see this one. It goes back to Randy Moss' home of Rand, West Virginia to examine his roots.
Also part of the new run: "The Day The Series Stopped" on the 1989 World Series, "When The Garden Was Eden" on the glory days of Madison Square Garden, "Brian and The Boz" on Brian Bosworth, and "Brothers In Exile" on Livan and Orlando Hernandez.

What makes it weird? -
i hate the knicks and the rangers but my 2 trips to Madison Square Garden were amazing ironically that 30 for 30 comes on my bday. The recently renovated MSG is dope as hell tho. Saw my huskies clap mich state there this year.

Also most people didnt know they had any ties whatsoever. Then, the same year Moss lights ? up his rookie year, Jason Williams had people shocked his rookie year. If u a youngin you wouldnt remember, but Jayson Williams had sportscenter goin nuts w/ ? he ws doin. I.e. when he crossed up GP.
Plenty HS teammates make it to seperate leagues, but most just be in the league, doin normal ? , non-descript.
Both these dudes were doin revolutionary ? , at the same time, from the same city, black guy, white guy. -

But still, in hindsight, it should have never got that close. Looking at that roster is ridiculous. No other roster in college sports comes close. -
