Reza Aslan pretty much killed Bill Maher on CNN last week over these comments

    http://youtu.be/6ibKWVTFSak

Islan claims female genital mutilation is not prevalent in muslim communities, but rather in African communities.

    The World Health Organization writes:

Female genital mutilation has been reported to occur in all parts of the world, but it is most prevalent in:
the western, eastern, and north-eastern regions of Africa, some countries in Asia and the Middle
East and among certain immigrant communities in North America and Europe

    and

Even though the practice can be found among Christians, Jews and Muslims, none of the holy texts of any of these religions prescribes female genital mutilation and the practice pre-dates both Christianity and Islam

He's incorrect alleging it never happens in Muslim countries by showing that it occurs in Christian nations as well.

Don't forget Bill Maher is on record for being a huge supporter of the terrorist, thieving, and apartheid state of Israel, so anything he says regarding Islam or the Middle East in general should be taken with a grain of salt.

He wasn't saying it isn't an issue in "muslim countries." He was combating that statement by stating it isn't necessarily a "muslim" issue AS much as it is regional. Because the countries where it is most prevalent there are just as many christians as there are muslims and others. I mean you just made his point for him by saying.

    AKA not a "Muslim" problem.

This is how white people convince the masses that majority or blacks are criminals and thugs.

This ^^^ is very important in this convo..

As much as...matter o fact I think Ben, Bill Maher and the guy with him had legitimate points.

From what's been shown of Muslims/Islamic nations, them muhfuckas gaf about women, homos(I have no problem with this) and respect for other religions.

In Turkey right now it's a struggle because some people want the country ruled by Islamic law, even though a lot of their ? rules r man-made.

Islam has a long history with murdering peeps because of misguided Muslim laws.

The treatment of women in some of those countries is disgusting. Then again that's what the media shows us. If we're to believe the media ? around the world don't even deserve the honor of life.

Based on that alone, I can't accept at face value the 'polls/statistics' that most Muslims feel u should die based on your unacceptance of the Islamic faith.

Either way I like some of Ben & @AZTG‌'s points and an unerring fact u can Takeaway from them is that all in all America is just as much a ? as most of the ? that they lambaste.

Mikasa help me I just typed a Titan

If Muslim countries are doing it how is it not a muslim problem?

Also he explicitly said it is an African problem, but it is practiced outside Africa. He basically did the same thing Maher did.

Its not a Muslim problem because it is not unique to Muslim culture. It isn't only happening in Africa but it is more widespread there to my knowledge.

It does not happen in all of Africa though
He did the exact same thing he chastised Maher for: he lumped up an entire group together despite the fact that all members of that group do not all share that characteristic
