The Evil Within is going to be scary, we already know that, but just how terrifying will it be?
Well, judging by Sony’s latest comments on its weekly blogcast, we have reason to be very afraid of Shinji Mikami's latest project. SCEA Social Media Specialist Ryan Clementssays that his co-worker was so scared he had to switch it off.
Speaking on the blogcast with host Sid Shuman, the pair talked about the game’s imminent release on PS3 and PS4 next week when Ryan said, “Here’s some early buzz from a fellow co-worker. The game was so terrifying he had to turn it off after 20 minutes!”
Of course we don’t know whether he’s the kind of guy who simply has a low scare threshold, but judging by some of the trailers that are doing the rounds, The Evil Within really could be the scariest game to hit PlayStation platforms this year.

I played Resident Evil i think its was 3 in the dark. This brainy thing crawled from the ceiling and I was spooked. Think the scariest game Ive played since was Luigi's Mansion.

I have played about 20 mins, the lighting is beautiful and the atmosphere disturbing, haven't got into combat yet but I agree it reminds me of RE4... -
Man I'd love to see them put something like this on Project Morpheus. I don't even want it. I just want to see the reactions of people while they play it. Them ? would be hilarious.

None of it will show up in your inventory until Chapter 3...
Double barrel shotgun is kind of wasteful but it does more damage than normal shotgun until you upgrade it, you can't upgrade the double barrel, the crossbow bolt they give you is one of the best weapons in the game just be careful cause it can damage you...
Pro tip: upgrade that stamina, don't waste green stuff on the melee b/c it's useless later on... -
