    That's not a series tho.

I'm surprised X-Men has jumped out to such a lead!

Most people don't even realize how ? sci-fi X-Men is. Mutation, evolution, time travel, space travel, advanced technology, aliens..,it has damn near all the elements of science fiction.

I'm still conflicted on what to choose though. So many of these series I've never even seen.

Just from the sub culture, merchandising, abd impact on multiple generations abd iconic lines and being recognizable to the point you can throw them in anywhere in pop culture and all ages will know it...

    It's star wars

I can accept that. Star Wars has such an incredible following that in any real nerd conference it would win without question. The only challenger would be Star Trek.

I've never seen a single Star Wars film, not one. The same can be said for Star Trek as well.

If judging by popularity, it's Star Wars and it's not even close.

    Star Wars easily

I'm not a ? fan or casual, idk what to call it but Star Wars is my ? . I just love the universe they created.

Anything SW related I'm at least checking it out. Games, TV Shows, books etc

I was so mad when they ended the Clone Wars. Great show

    ...of the Apes
Popularity wise, Star Wars, but I've seen all 6 movies twice and still don't get the hype.

I say Apes, the original (and a couple others from back on the day) plus the two newest rebooted ones.

    After that, Alies.

    T2 doesn't age well.

Blasphemous. T2 blow away movies that's out now

    Back To The Future

None of those series/sagas/trilogies/etc. that are listed are perfect in that they all have at least one ? film that stink up the rest of their series, and with the likes of Star Wars and Resident Evil I just think are absolute ? . The Back To The Future trilogy is by no means perfect but is far more consistent and enjoyable across the board.

Strong story, strong acting, great cinematography, brilliant in-camera special effects and strong direction all help T2 crush 99% of CGI-laden action films that have come out since.

Good addition (that's why I GOAT'd) but again I've never seen any of them.

    Star Wars...

Alien, this franchise has been mismanaged more than any other, 1-2 classic, 3 assembly cut decent, the rest garbage truck juice. Not sure where to put Prometheus cause that seemed like another movie altogether and the Alien tie-in seems forced at best, decent movie on it's own merit but if counted as an "Alien" movie then it's a pretty bad one...

Terminator, 1-2 show you how to make an action/sci-fi film, take note Michael Bay lol...

    Honorable mention: Old school Godzilla
