    How can i take a religion seriously that reduces the birth of its saviour to free for alls and brawls over off brand tvs? Christmas is known more for commercialization and consumerism than anything. Black friday and santa clause have become the face of Christmas just as the easter bunny and easter eggs have become the face of easter. These are the two most important days of the Christian calender and they have been reduced to total ? .

    I could understand if ppl were using the birth of Christ as a reason to fight each to see who could feed the most homeless ppl or if they were trampling each other to visit prisoners or pray over children in hospitals but theyre not. They are fighting, cussing, crushing and going insane to get off brand tvs to celebrate the birth of the saviour. And 5 months from now the same ppl will be doing the same ? over easter clothes.

    How can I take the religion seriously when the society that proclaims the religion does this kinda ? ? They have reduced the saviour to a marketing ploy and use his name to make money. Lets not forget why its called black friday. Companies that are in the red all year turn a profit and go into the black in 1 freaking day thus black friday. They'll wait all year b/c they know the biggest marketing campaign of all time, Christmas, is on the way. Its a joke and its disgusting and I cant take a religion seriously that allows the birth of its saviour to be reduced to that.
