According to DeMar DeRozan, who is an NBA player for the Toronto Raptors, Drake will be releasing a new mixtape in January, 2015.
During an interview with EJ, Greg and C-Webb at the TNT Studios, DeMar was asked what it was like having someone like Drizzy support him and the Raptors.

It's most likely gonna be an OVO mixtape. As successful as Drake is, there's No reason to release that much new original music, not with the units he's capable of moving. And the money can make off touring. Unless it's that R&B mixtape he's had in the works for a while. When the hell is he gonna release an album that's straight spitting And No singing. That's what I want

But it felt like he was being lazy or half ass it. Like he'll spit one hot verse And then sing. Like on Wu tang forever And worst behavior And own it. -

Why not just continue to drop radio tracks ? ? is moving 700-800k in the first week & whatnot. If he going to do a mixtape just do an OVO tape so he dont water himself down. Jay-Z, Kanye West and Nas aint never dropped a mixtape. If I were him, I'd do like a Lost Tapes session called "The Listening Session" or something that were tracks that didn't make my last albums and go from there. Then do the OVO mixtape but have one of my artists as the dude at the very forefront and I'd take the background like Dr.Dre did w/ The Firm. More tactical to do it that way and he don't lose his wave.
