TimbalandI went with Timbaland because to me dude is a genius for the left field ? he comes up with. Neptunes are dope too but Timbaland continuously switch up his sounds and his style is impossible to duplicate imo. Timbaland has more styles than Pharrell imo.
Bubba Sparxxx Deliverance album is absolutely crazy. That's Timbo's best hiphop production. Neptunes haven't top that. -

The diversity of the Neptunes sound and their ability to make so many different types of music is damn near unparalleled.
It was a tough one but this is what it came down to really.

I enjoyed Timbaland's music much more in the 90s and early 00s. Not very much recently but The 'Tunes had the WHOLE 2000's. They were every ? where!
Pharrell is expedient on the piano and drums plus he's the front man (raps and sings better than Timbo).
Chad plays bass guitar, saxophone and keys and has been touted as the mastermind of that duo .. -

Man i need to find the vid/interview when Jay z is talking about Magna Carta. They asked why he dont work with Just he said something to the effect of their records are huge moments and take time to craft, cant be rushed, etc. Whereas he just go in w/ Timbo and can crank out a lil feel good record for the masses, like its some microwave ? hahaha Im paraphrasing but he said it. Timbo's production has no depth -
