I know deposits pet deposits are key factors. I won't commit to payments that are out of my budget -

I've been saving since my parents introduced me to money. Buy what you need, get what u want later. Pay ya bills ahead and and splurge later. Prioritize

My best advice is save up at least 4 months rent, plus 200 for connection fees, and food.
The reason I say 4 months rent, is Because you will have a deposit, plus the first month. Then go ahead and drop them the next 2 months rent. This way, you can focus your next check on furniture for your spot w/o having to worry about rent coming due soon. Gas and electric fees are usually billed on first bill, so you can get those later.
If it's feasible to do it this way, you will have an easy transition.
Things to consider when moving:Distance from school, store, family, job. Safety-go to potential places you want to live at night, see what it's like. Just a few things off top my head.
A lot of apartments waive application fees if asked or if its close to the end of the month. Use apartment finder, apartment guide to see the insides of the units only if you cannot get an appointment to do a walk through personally. Those sites also have specials that may save you money too.
ALWAYS DO A WALK THROUGH before moving in. Take detailed pictures, notes, and video of anything damaged, broken, not cleaned, because if you don't notify them before hand, they will charge it to you.
If getting an apartment with Carpet, ask for a unit with new carpet.
Google apartment ratings. This tells you what current and former tennants think of the property and management. -
Shitttt, unless you have to move out, I would stay and continue to stack that paper.

Currently, I have up to 6 months of rent saved, going on 7, but whenever you do move out, make sure you have a decent job on the way, emergency money, and a 4 back up plans. Put yourself in a comfortable situation and make the move easy going and enjoyable as possible. Basically, dont be a ? and in stressful situations. Moving out and having your own is a GOAT feeling. This will be my second time. Im fighting depression now, but my sacfrices will be worth it in a couple of months. Just signed my least. Waiting game now. Take your licks and save up, and reap the benefits later.
BTW once you do move out and is in good position financially, KEEP SAVING REGARDLESS. -

This.
So many people are in such a rush to get out of their Parent's house that they don't have plans or priorities, they're just tired of being told what to do, not being able to bring bytches thru, or whatever else.
Imo, Living well > Living on your own just because while you're still figuring things out / stacking funds / going to school / etc.. -

I tried to tell my cousin this before he moved out with $600 to his name because thought he had to because mom and dad were tripping (they just wanted him to clean up after himself and help around the house, ? just lazy smh). ? thought I was lame for telling him to chill and get his paper up. He too busy trying to kick it, and he still ain't getting any chicks even with his own spot smh. -
what is your guys take on moving into a guest room rent is 400 dollars a month utilities are included wifi included Full House access. I'm looking at the ad right now it says 400 all inclusive

Here in Florida rent is super cheap you can get a one bedroom for 260 a month in some areas out here. So living on i would save move out. In cali I would stay with my family as long as possible my one bedroom was 1245 a month.

I made sure I at least had 1 rack in the bank before I moved out. Even then I was eating ramen noodles and jamaican beef patties as a diet because I'm a cheap ass chinaman.

Went to the Army at 18, came back at 22. Took me a while to find a Job, but I did. Lived with my Parents until I had over 20K saved up. When I did move out I purchased a Townhome (said ? making the rent man rich). Now, Im in the position to sell my Townhome, make some money, and hopefully purchase my dream home.
There are lots of ways to play the game, but that's how I did it. -
I moved out when I was 17, got an apartment with my cousin.
We stayed there for 3 years, he got married so I got me a mobile home and saved up 3,000.
After that I got a duplex with my brother to help him save money, I saved up another 3,000.
Met my wife and we decided to get a townhouse and we saved up 8,850 between the two of us.
We are now about to buy our first home next month, 4 bedroom/3 bathroom because we now have 4 kids after my twins were born in September also thanks to my parents for giving us 4,000 all together in the 4 years we been married, we saves that as well.
They gave us 1,000 every year just because they wanted to help us get our first home.
I can not wait to finally have that family home, me and my friends are gonna paint and my wife already bought the furniture and put it in storage so we will be ready.
