recovering data from a laptop

Aight I just broke my 3rd laptop dropped it and the screen is completely black, any way to get some important files from it without being able to see the screen?

I got another laptop the screen works but the hard drive is corrupted , maybe I can pull this one out of the broke screen one and put it Inthe one with the good screen?

hook a VGA or HDMI cable up to it and plug it into your tv.

the one thats broken doesnt have hdmi out -
