Deep Web also Invisible Web, or Hidden Web is the portion of World Wide Web content that is not indexed by standard search engines. Most of the web's information is buried far down on sites, and standard search engines can not retrieve some information. Traditional search engines cannot see or retrieve content in the deep web. The portion of the web that is indexed by standard search engines is known as the surface web. As of 2001,the deep web was categorized as existing on a larger Magnitude than the surface web. An analogy of an iceberg has frequently been used to represent the division between surface web and deep web respectively.

The deep web is a separate entity from the dark internet, which is made up of computers that can no longer be reached via the internet. Also, the Darknet—ambiguously known as Dark Web—which consists of various anonymizing networks like Tor and the resources that they provide access to, is not synonymous with the deep web, but is a subsection of it.

Doing illegal ? without being tracked. But I wouldn't touch it these days, too many Feds. And it's not as untraceable as they'll have you believe.

not just illegal ? It's used for hard to find information , as well as banking and commerce -
some ? just ain't worth it. I'm on enough watchlists as-is. I don't need to ? around out there like that.
