A director for Law & Order was arrested for child pornography yesterday.

Jason "Jace" Alexander, 51, a Dobbs Ferry resident, was charged with two felony counts—"one count of promoting a sexual performance by a child and one count of possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child," which could get him up to seven years in prison if convicted.

According to the Westchester DA's office, on July 24th they "downloaded child pornography from an IP address in Westchester County." This led to an "investigation and pursuant to a subpoena," and it was determined that the IP address was assigned to Alexander's home. After a search warrant was performed there, a "forensic examination of computers and external hard drives removed from the location revealed digital files of children who are less than sixteen years of age engaged in child pr0nography."

The NY Post has more details:

Alexander is accused of promoting the video—depicting a girl about 12 or 13 years old—by making it available for viewing in late June on the Torrent network, according to a criminal complaint. He also is accused of having a video file depicting a 6- to 8-year-old girl performing a sexual act on herself, according to Investigator Andrew Garcia of the DA’s High Technology Crime Bureau.

According to Lohud, Alexander was taken into custody after his computers were searched, and he has been released on $10,000 bail. He is married to actress Maddie Corman, and the couple has three children.

Alexander, who is also the son of actress Jane Alexander, is also known for his work on The Blacklist, Rescue Me, The Practice, and Ally McBeal.
