When the Heat were themselves they weren't even that good, Celtics won games facing the same type of diversity yall faced probably more, the Heat couldn't

Exactly we went from tanking to having the 3rd best record in the east after the all star break, it's MULTIPLE stats they chose to gloss over but they'll see soon enough tho

Heat were never themselves...but hey after years of knowing the makeup of you guys, I know I should just stop trying to sway you because this is pointless

I respect your opinion John B and Ax even if I REALLY don't agree. It is what it is

I'm coming for avi bets though

MVP: kd gonna win mvp because the record improvement for okc is gonna be crazy

Defensive Player of The Year: A.D

    Rookie Of The Year: mudiay

6th Man Of The Year: dennis schroeder

Coach Of The Year: billy donovan

Breakout star: dennis schroeder -- hes a consistent 3 ball away from getting teague outta there and from the few games i seen of him playing in eurobasket this year he was by far the best player on the court

Player likely to fall off: kobe -- 'when you get old you dont get healthy, you die' - charles barkley

Most Improved Team: i was gonna say milwaukee but im starting to wonder if theyre last years bobcats -- i hope so

One Bold prediction: cant think of one other than melo being traded at deadline

    East
    1. cavs
    2. bulls
    3. hawks
    4. heat
    5. bucks
    6. wizards
    7. raptors

its pretty much a who sucks the least for the 8th spot

detroit appears to be the most talented of the bunch but i dont know how big a loss monroe was for them -- not a big fan of ilyasova -- i also have no idea if reggie will pick up where he left off or how jennings will come back from injury

the hornets probably the second most talented to me and -- interested to see how the stretch 4 revolution turns out for them -- they seem to have enough shooting surrounding big al now -- if mkg takes a step on O i could definitely see them in the playoffs

pacers, celtics, nets and knicks all seem like they are in the same boat

brooklyn should be better but we know they wont be -- on the low they have done the best out of a bad situation though with these minimum deals -- i like that boatwright signing hes a dog

new york is basically melo or bust -- they dont have much in the way of threats besides him but they have a nice core to build on there i guess

boston is so well coached you can never count them out but im just not seeing them sneak up on anyone anymore and i dont see the talent there to overcome the healthier teams that were out last year (like miami)

indiana is the weirdest of the bunch because before i probably wouldve said they were an easy playoff team but the more i look at it -- its basically a returning PG, monta, and rookie miles turner surrounded by scraps -- i dont think they can overcome the youth they have to rely on right now

    West
    1. thunder
    2. warriors
    3. spurs
    4. clippers
    5. rockets
    6. grizzlies
    7. pelicans
    8. jazz

the west may have got stronger -- now im looking at golden state, san antonio, oklahoma city, houston and clippers as all legit or semi-legit contenders -- new orleans and utah are likely much improved and only the 7th and 8th seed -- dallas, phoenix and sacramento are even interesting wildcards on some level

    Eastern Champs:

    Western Champs:

    NBA Champs:

ima let it play out some

Schroeder filled in well when Teague was hurt. Think he'll take over next year, and the Hawks trade Teague's expiring contract

I probably would have put Dallas in the playoffs but I think Parsons and Matthews are both going to be hurt to start the season. They'll probably put together a good run when they get back but I think they'll be in too much of a whole to secure a playoff spot

    Meh, ZFG

    Recently came across the thread.

Lol@ y'all knowing EVERYTHING that will transpire a few weeks into the season.

So y'all would change sooooo much now, huh?

Since 16 games gives us such a handicap, are y'all placing bets on your picks, now?

It's basically common knowledge at this point.
