"Space Jam" was highly popular when Michael Jordan took center stage and accepted the main cast offer on the movie's first installment. Now, rumors have emerged online that "Space Jam 2" is being negotiated, and with various NBA star emerging, who could appear in the much-anticipated sequel?
According to FanSided, Blake Griffin openly expressed his interest in the movie after he was asked about it. He said, "Oh absolutely; absolutely. I'd love to be involved in any capacity, really. Space Jam was a huge part of my childhood. I actually had a Space Jam themed birthday party as a teen."
Griffin's NBA stats have been nothing but excellent on the game board, and he's commercials have been some sort of basis on his acting capacity.
LeBron James, who's fielded to also fit the character, has been the kind of player who showed less display of acting talents that may perhaps take him on the lower list of prospects.
Griffin, on the other hand, elaborated more on his acting prowess during his interview Basketball Insiders. When asked about his intentions to add acting on his career, he said, "I've been on acting and improve for as long as I can remember, Now, I've gotten the opportunity to kind of do some of cool things and meet some awesome people, but I'm not an actor. I don't think acting is the route I'm going to go."
Griffin is currently signed to the LA Clippers with an average of 7.6 rebounds, 21.9 points and 5.3 assists last NBA season. To sum it up, his average has surpassed that of Kyrie Irving, Damian Lillard and Klay Thompson.
Griffin has been hailed as one of the best NBA players in the league not only because of his stats, but also his projects and undertakings during the offseason. According to CBS Sports, "Space Jam 2" has no official script yet, but Griffin and Zack LaVine are great candidates for the role.
Griffin is well-known for his high-flying dunks and stylish basketball talent. When asked whether he sees himself retiring in the LA Clippers, he said, "Yeah, I mean LA is my home now. This is where I get drafted and I've been here since the beginning. I've been with this franchise during some bad times, I'm not looking to go anywhere."
"Space Jam 2" has no release date yet, so keep an eye on it after the players selection is finalized.

Certain things should be left alone

Insert funny jordan face.
-
Much rather have Blake than LBJ if they gonna do it
-
LBJ just did that train wreck I heard was dope. He'll if Ray I can barely act Allen did decent with Jesus Shuttlesworth anything is possible
-
Trainwreck was terrible bruh. Didn't understand the hype it got. Didn't laugh once. Its just Amy Schumer is an unlikable human being. Her whole shtick is forced and has been done better by far more talented female comedians
-
Bron or Blake. Dark horse would be Kobe
-
Thought Griffin was surprisingly hilarious in them Kia commercials...
Soundtrack gonna be bananas... can't wait for a new song from Seal............... -
Should be Kobe since he gonna have nothing to do after this season
-
Nah griffin ain't LBJ. Both widely popular players but LBJ is basically mike in terms of popularity
-
ray allen was a great actor
-
Jordan can't act worth ? lmao. The movie is GOAT but comn ? , the cartoon characters made the movie
-
Space Jam 2 ? -
Why does it have to be one ? . Why not LBJ and Blake
-
ray allen was a great actor
J.Shuttlesworth is a GAWD, but Ray acting was terrible lol.. still a classic IMHO though -

I'm a huge Kobe fan. My favorite player of all time... But this would be WOAT
How he gon put up with Bugs, Daffy, Porky and Yosemite Sam when he could barely stand Swaggy P?
Only player with the top tier talent and personality to pull this off is Anthony Davis. But he don't have the league wide accolades yet.
Should just find some middle school/early high school kid who can really ball and make this ? direct to dvd -

Lol you actin like Kobe has no sense of humor or something..you can't say he hasn't been coming out his shell the last 3 years or so
Plus he wanna be like Mike right? Lol and he could wanna do it so his daughters could watch idk
Griffin, wade, Dirk, Paul, pau, etc could get they talent stolen too lol -
I mean if Kobe does it it writes itself. Kobe in his last season before retirement and the teams not doing well, Bugs and the squad come through needing help to save the planet and reignite Kobe's love for the game
-
If there's no Hit em hIgh type tracks on this album ? this movie.

That joint really does go hard especially for a song to a family movie. All them ? killed it, Coolio killed it. -
Oh yea when I was kid I didn't fully appreciate Bill Murray's performance in the movie. I rewatched it a few months ago and he was comedy.
-
If they MUST make a sequel, they should cast LeBron, Durant, Carmelo, Westbrook, Harden, Dwight, Chris Paul, Curry, and/or Griffen in equal capacity roles instead of highlighting one above the rest. That's the way the league is now anyway.

That's a weird MC lineup, but it somehow turned into a good song.
