? Of War 4 Confirmed
Options
According to Franchise Herald, "? of War 4" is set to be released exclusively on Sony's PlayStation and, just recently, Sony's Santa Monica Studios teased a possible 2016 release. There was an initial belief that the game will be released this year, though. In addition, Sony reportedly confirmed that the fourth installment to the action-adventure Greek mythology game is already in progress despite being in its infancy.
On the other hand, Crossmap reported that many are speculating the possibility of not including Kratos in "? of War 4." Gamers were reportedly left unanswered at the ending of "? of War 3," thus caused a lot of anticipation from the franchise's fans. In fact, just when Sony's Cory Barlog announced that the studio is working on a new "? of War" franchise, a Twitter user tweeted, "please don't bring Kratos or Greek Mythology." And, to the surprise of everyone, Sony Santa Monica replied and said: "The gods have verified this to be true."
In related news, IGN reported that fans can experience the saga of Kratos again in HD, which is the remastered PlayStation 4 version and is down to $20. So, if they want to see Kratos one last time before it's finally confirmed that the character is not coming back in "? of War 4," they better purchase the HD version of the third installment.
Meanwhile, there has been no official statement yet whether or not Kratos is really coming back to the franchise. Nonetheless, the question now is who will take the iconic Greek character and what will be the storyline of the forthcoming "? of War 4."
While details are kept under the wraps for now, fans can only hope for 2016 to pass by quickly.

Could/should go the viking saga route, with a new hero taking on Odin, Thor etc...or Egyptian style, taking on Anubis, Sobek etc...what else can they do with Kratos?(except taking down christianity but the world isnt ready for that ? lol)

Roman and Greek gods are damn near the same thing. -

Roman and Greek are essentially the same thing.
I'm hoping for Egyptian or Norse -
Egyptian please I'm tired of white history in games. ? a viking they prolly gonna go left and do the Aztec's or something either way tho I'll be playing it

An Indian Style game could be pulled off pretty well given their rich theology. But it would be so foreign to the populace that Santa monica would probably see it as too much of a risk.

the 3rd GoW originally had a storyline that heavily involved Christianity. It involved Kratos and his reincarnation in Greek and Norse times taking down gods of their eras, and ending with them becoming the 3 Wise Men, offering gifts to the one true ? on Christmas.
But Sony said the gaming world wasnt ready for that yet. -
Egyptian or Aztec gods
