Warner Bros.’ upcoming “Tomb Raider” film has found its Lara Croft. According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Ex Machina” star Alicia Vikander has signed on to play Croft as she undertakes her first adventure. The film will follow Vikander’s “young and untested” Lara Croft.
In addition to “Ex Machina,” the Swedish actress has appeared in “The Danish Girl” and “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” She has also had roles in “Seventh Son,” “Burnt,” “Anna Karenina” and “A Royal Affair,” among other films. She will also star in Matt Damon’s upcoming “Jason Bourne” film.
Roar Uthaug (“The Wave”) is on board to direct the Warner Bros./MGM film, which has been in the works since 2011.
Archaeologist-adventurer Lara Craft was famously portrayed by Angelina Jolie in two movie adaptations, 2001’s “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider” and 2003’s “Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life,” which grossed a combined $432 million worldwide.

The chick that plays Melissandra from GOT would have been perfect for this role

Good actress - I'm down with that choice.

She's a really good actress so I'm not even mad.

I did like the idea of Alexandra Daddario as Lara Croft though.

She lacks tittie meat. Just like with Power Girl, one of Lara's distinguishing features is her rack.

I STILL wouldn't watch the movie but I strongly support this. What happened to the star wars chick doing this movie? -

She was just a considered name. This girl was the producer's first choice and is like 20 times the actress the Star Wars chick probably is. -
She dont even got ?

This more than likely were this is going to be an instance where were the cosplay girls look why better for the part than the actress cast to play Lara in the movies. They need to do a "Tomb Raider Meets Dora the Explorer." Get the rights to Dora and make it happen. Also, instead of Indiana Jones, (which kinda played out,) Speilberg should do this movie. Put all of ideas he has for an Indy, modernize it, and use Lara instead.

I thought ol girl from Star Wars was playing Croft

Yeah I was hoping for her or Maggie from The Walking Dead.
