He passed on being Neo in the Matrix for this

you know he had to have gone to bed every night like

    giphy.gif

    when The Matrix was poppin

I believe he did a interview years back and said he thought reeves was perfect choice for the matrix vs him idk

He's right. Reeves was the better choice. Keanu's acting was perfect for the neo role.

Reeves is neo in ever movie he plays in nothing changes

He's not Neo in John Wick.

    He's the boogeyman gahdammit.

Besides Bad boys, MiB 1 and enemy of the state Will Smith movies suck, most overrated actor of all time

    Independence Day
    I Am Legend
    Hancock
    7 Pounds
    Ali

    ...all good movies

I thought the pursuit of happyness was his best acting job. And even tho i didn't like the movie, he was great in hitch.

I hate his film choices but hes normally the best thing in every movie he's in.

Well he also (I believe) abandoned Independence Day 2 and Django Unchained for After Earth.. dude started believing his own hype

I think that movie brought him down to earth (no pun)..

I read that he turned down Django because he didnt believe Django was the lead character in the film. He thought Dr. Schultz was the lead character.

    Ego.

Will likes to play safe roles. Django would've been too controversial for him.

    so six degrees aint controversal

Maybe it’s because Hollywood only ever seems to learn one lesson at a time, it’s usually never the right one, and they forget the other lessons they learned when a new one comes along.

Hollywood? lol try humanity in general.

I'm not mad at Will. I don't support his movies very often but dude is doing whatever he wants. He pretty much has creative freedom which is rare as ? for a black actor.

He makes poor decisions like all actors do. I don't blame him for trying. I'd be mad if he went the Cube route and only made family flicks with no diversity. But Will is diverse, he'll do some silly ? , then do an action flick then reach on some oscar bait.

Not enough to the extent his fans think... me included

When has he ever played a highly disgusting repulsive character on screen? In his near 25 years in Hollywood?

He should come off the 'good guy', squeaky clean roles for a while.. and before someone says Suicide Squad he's not a villain in that

Diversity as a performing actor means more than switching film genres

I think the only time he's played the antagonist was in Six Degrees of Separation.

And he played a con-artist in Focus although he was the protagonist in that movie.

Some actors only good at playing villains, some only as heroes and the rare few that's good as both.

Will in the hero only category even tho I do think he can pull it off the villain aspect.

I think he could pull off a villain role but I read a article while back that said him and his agent have/had a formula to how they picked roles if I find the article I'll post it

He mentions that in every interview however...

He's approaching full middle age.. he need to get his acting deep

I was disappointed in Concussion in its entirety ...
