Lewandowski: Trump Doesn’t Speak to Black Community Anymore Because It Was ‘Not a Safe Environment’

Former Donald Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski said Monday on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 that it was understandable that Trump never speaks to black audiences, because violence broke out when he tried to speak in the city of Chicago.
“You know what’s amazing to me is that no one remembers that Donald Trump went to have a rally in Chicago at the university and do you remember what happened? It was so chaotic and it was so out of control that Secret Service and Chicago Police Department told him you could not get in and out of that facility safely and that rally was canceled,” the CNN contributor said.
Those comments sparked murmurs and consternation among the rest of the panel. “What does that have to do with the black community?” asked black conservative Tara Setmayer.
“Look, that is a black community,” Lewandowski said. “He went to the heart of Chicago to give a speech to the University of Chicago in a campus that is predominately African-American to make that argument. And you know what happened? The campus was overrun and it was not a safe environment.”
CNN’s Angela Rye countered that blacks are not monolithic, and not all black audiences are the same. “So whose fault is that that that particular event in Chicago was completely destroyed?” Lewandowski asked.
Setmayer also pointed out that Lewandowski was also misrepresenting Trump’s speech: “It was not to go there to speak to an audience of black folks there, it was to go to a predominantly white audience.” (Contrary to Lewandowski’s initial claim, only 8% of the UIC campus is African-American).
“That audience was not white,” Lewandowski retorted.
“Yes, it was!” Setmayer shot back.
“That event is open to everybody,” he said. “So there were no African-Americans inside that event? I could see them.”

HUH. The university of chicago is 40+ percent white, with a larger asian demographic there than black. It has a larger non us citizen demo at that university than black. Black people at that university are like the smallest demographic there. Even without knowing the exact numbers, im surprised none of those girls just called ? on that off top. University of Chicago is not an HBCU, and has a high likelihood like most non HBCU's of being predominately white.
Also, if his point isnt that its black peoples fault, than why the ? are you bringing up black people as the people at fault. As if white people all love trump. lol
Ive seen this trump ? plenty of times before. This is why these shows need to have fact checking on air. Like, how the ? do you not have one person in the back to fact check the university of chicagos demographics, and pwn him right then and there.
Problem is, he can say all that stupid ? , get unchecked factually, and people think hes telling the truth. Imma have to find the whole clip right quick, because jesus christ.

Hes the one that has people in his crowds chanting sieg heil, and screaming racial slurs at legal mexican citizens. Hes the one calling for violence at his rallies, and turns a blind eye as an old white guy punches a young black man in the face for no reason.
No, trump doesnt "have a good relationship with the blacks". Im not offended hes not talking directly to us black folks. We aint trying to vote for him anyways, and at this point in time, he shouldnt waste his time. WE DONT GIVE A ? ABOUT YOU.

University of Chicago is in Hyde Park that is a racially mixed neighborhood but consisting mostly UofC college students professors and Black and white professionals. It aint the wst side or the southside, it's a gentrified neighborhood.
You know who else is up that way, the Secret Service stationed at Obama's residence. Aint no ruckus goin on in that area.
