So last year I dropped a 16 or a track every month, just to get my ? out...let mufuckas know I got bars, no ? ..but this here is the first drop of the year...snatched that Grand Master Flash beat and went to work....

You flipped it decent. Thought it would've been better with 2 verse tho. Here is a track I recently posted. Sample has not been cleared so that's why it's only on SoundCloud. I call it Oh Baby
    https://soundcloud.com/red-hall-aka-da-burglar/oh-baby

Kinda like a Texas flow, easy to vibe to, and the sample is dope. Real slick word wise...track me and my homeboy dropped from his new project "Sellout"...I spit 1st https://youtu.be/IVEIf2t4XIg

Bro I was really feeling your verse, dope 16. The visuals were nice too, where did you guys shoot this? Your boy was straight didn't catch my attention the way your verse did, but I can see him connecting with today's listeners who like energy & swagger which he did bring on this one.

Ok so since it's been a drought in here I figured I'd drop something I released a while back to get some conversation started again. I just threw this up on YouTube few weeks back in memory of Sonny Liston former heavyweight champ of the world. The song is about bouncing back & not letting your shortcomings or failures define who you are, let me know what you think....

    https://youtu.be/EfVpJGl7Mb4

I like it man, correct me if I'm wrong but your flow or delivery sounds GZA/Jay Electronica-influenced, or perhaps just Wu-Tang in general. Gave me that type of feel. Depending on what you're trying to do, if you wanna know what you can do to improve... I wouldn't say there's anything to improve per-say, but what I can say is this:

I'm not bothered by the production, because of the music I grew up listening to. However, in terms of from the perspective of the average listener that exist in today's climate, I would say to rap over production that comes from today's climate. There are tons of producers too that do all types of lanes of hip-hop who you can collaborate with, and lay your narratives over their production.

Again, it all depends on what you're trying to do. If you don't care for the music climate of today, nor to apease to the average listener, then it shouldn't matter.

Here's a music video intended to look like a free-run video game, you know when they have those gaming competitions where you try to beat the game as fast as possible, and the best are the ones who take 0 damage and beat the opponents the fastest by already knowing the strategies... The song 'No Jumper' is about opponents' shots not hitting, and thus bricking. Entendres within guns, basketball, shots of liquor, etc.

    Check it out:

Yo firstly props for the listen and feedback it's much appreciated. Your vid is tight mad creative went well with the concept. As far as me bro it's not so much that I don't do "today's" hip-hop I just do music I like. I'm a lil' older than the average MC on the come up so my influences are retro-based as you eluded to before but mainly my goal is to be an alternative to what today's artists bring to the culture.

This vid is dooope. Just thinking on hwo many times was needed to get the full continuous song is mind boggling to imagine. The track is chill too, i like how it had the video game sounds but didn't go full "nerdcore" with it. Can't wait to see what got you coming down the line (pause if needed)

Heres my ? , i'll post a the new vid when i get around to it lol:

The production on this is really clean, whoever mixed it did it very well everything is blended together right. In terms of your flow you stay consistent & the vibe is really dope, you did the sound right honestly. Your lyrics are dope in terms of the way you put together the multi's & stay with the same chill subject content, like you stay on topic the whole time. Probably one of the best songs i've ever heard out of these threads on the IC.

I actually like this. Pretty trippy. Only thing think could be better is the mixing. The bass is drowning you out. Other than that it has potential to be really dope. Just get it correctly mixed and mastered.

That's the hardest part of doing it on your own with limited equipment man but my dream is to get it correctly mixed and mastered without an engineer and be fully independent. Searching for tips and tricks along the way honestly, the bass advice helps a lot. But thank you man I appreciate it.

No problem man. Also make sure you either have correct studio monitors or good studio monitor headphones. If you try to mix your own music with stereo headphones/speakers, it's never going to come out right.

solid lyrics n flow, delivery pretty good but kinda weird to hear a ny accent on a west coast type beat, kinda sounded like the 90's, also hook/break could be a lot better imo

this one of my more recents, need feedback on the mixes as well that's the main thing I'm tryna get comfortable with

solid lyrics n flow, delivery pretty good but kinda weird to hear a ny accent on a west coast type beat, kinda sounded like the 90's, also hook/break could be a lot better imo

this one of my more recents, need feedback on the mixes as well that's the main thing I'm tryna get comfortable with

I aint even from NY....but even if I was, wouldnt that be cool and different though? Like a west coast ? on a just blaze track, or jadakiss on a down south track...im gonna take that as a compliment though. .
