So the entire front page should be about only talking about Trump? No one is "shifting focus" that would be the case if this was a Trump thread and someone came in here and deflected into a what about the liberals.

I'll like know if you cats are even outraged or concerned about a conservative aka white supremacist like Steve Bannon being appointed the top seat on the National Security Council....?

    Any comments about this??

Or we should ignore that and focus on rather liberals are...um... genuine

Man, that's all that been talked about on here since Trump took over as president. You questioning whether folks are outraged or concerned is funny. Yea, were concerned and outraged.

Besides this thread, there hasn't been much focus on liberals. Y'all get upset when people talk about your party in the slightest.

What purpose would there be to shifting focus to liberals at the moment?

    1. Obviously it's not shifting focus, as this thread won't have much traffic; atleast in comparison to threads that go over what Trumps doing. As long as Trump keeps doing what he does, liberals or the questioning of liberals will never be the main focus.

    2. The thread creator had a question/concern. More than one issue can be talked about at a time. As far as purpose; it's clearly stated in the thread title. As for why at this moment? Why not? If not now, when? Trump isn't going to stop being Trump, so according to you, does he need to wait 4-8 years to ask this?

So what are we not focusing onat the moment that liberals arent doing for black people right now ( mind you thier not in power )

The way people are apply the word liberal in this thread is similar to how they apply ? /homosexual.

like they are a different race , when most people under the age of 40 Black or White are "Liberal".

lol a black "liberal" person also does not care about your kind of black person ? so does that mean a conservative black person cares or is genuine/not phony ?

    ? liberals!

    But...

? all you lames who weren't ready to make a pragmatic decision and decided to stand on your morals. You were distracted while hateful and regressive whites voted in droves, now Orange ? is in office.

When one considers the lesser of evils argument and abstains from the vote or votes for the candidate with no shot at winning, you are also choosing the inevitable evil that follows. What's more, you were self indulgent about the ? and are being proven wrong at every pass.

Trump is a week into this ? and is proving to be worse than almost anyone imagined.

It's okay not to be friends with your politicians or even respect them, but for every step we took forward, we are now taking ten in the opposite direction. Sometimes incremental change is a choice we make so we can keep our footing and accrue more bargaining power.

"The lesser of two evils" is subjective is it not? A white, conservative racist who voted for Trump believes he voted for the lesser of two evils. The fact that u voted for Hillary means u can no longer complain about a corrupt politician in office, because u willingly voted for one yourself.

Well with theads like these, you can imagine why some might be hesitant to speak up. Its almost a lose-lose situation.

That said, plenty of white people advocate and are marching right along with black people. Don't discredit them.

I'm talking about the white liberals who are always silent when things happen to black people. The white liberals who sound like white supremacists when we speak about our issues. If none of these apply to you then I'm not talking about/to you.

Oh I know you're not referring to me, that didn't cross my mind at all.

My point is that sometimes when a white person tries to speak up or unite, there are those that want to question their intent or authenticity. That might discourage some from wanting to speak up at all.

If a white person with good intent says some white ? , don't write them off, educate them. It's those with the good intent that will actually be willing to listen and be educated.

This is crucial. No one group is going to get ? done on their own. We have to do it together.

Answer this question: will more people suffer under Trump than would have suffered under Hillary? That ? was harm-reduction. You can spin it all you want, but we now have a dictator as the leader of the free world.

Please give me your estimates on how many people would/wouldnt have suffered under Hillary....use as much speculation and assumption as necessary and lets compare it to Trump.

Random hypotheticals that fit your narrative are also allowed.

firstly nobody owes you ? , its your duty to stand up for black people/issues/plight not white people.

second where is the proof of them be quiet when it comes to the black plight ? (i just think they don't respond in a manner that is satisfactory to some and there is no real answer to that, because even those that do get criticized lol)

now if you feel people are not doing enough thats a separate issue we can discuss this , you could also argue that some black (liberals/independents/conservatives) do nothing for themselves or others and resign themselves from doing anything because they feel by being born black and inherited history it gives them license to sit on the sidelines and point fingers, like they have earned that right because of legacy.

I think there is no satisfactory way of White people proving that they love Black people or want to help black people. Some of it is healthy skepticism from African Americans experience in this country's history but also a lot of it is Black Paranoia and conspiracy. Its the Wylie Coyote and Road Runner theory , i think on some level we like being stuck in perpetual struggle thats why when we have major bipartisan victories on racial issues we don't actually know how to acknowledge them and deal with it.

And I've notice some African Americans prefer instant gratification from white people cowering and constantly apologising that people on social media choose easy targetable topics like "cultural appropriation" to make their point.

KYS if you think a democrat is going to help you. KYS, your momma and your kids if you're waiting for a white liberal to save your black ass. It's been 400+ years and the calvary of good white folks haven't shown up yet. Drink bleach and wash it down with cyanide if you're still waiting.

Stop being coy and I don't need random hypotheticals.

I work for an agency that serves individuals with intellectual disabilities. With the repeal of the ACA we will see a limit in funding for Money Follows the Person Demonstration Grants (MFP Grants). MFP grants allow these individuals to have access to and a choice of services that best suit their needs. Those grants are gone! But, that doesn't affect you, Hillary's lies affect you.

Then there is all this ? :

On January 19th, 2017, DT said that he would cut funding for the DOJ’s Violence Against Women programs.
    * On January 19th, 2017, DT said that he would cut funding for the National Endowment for the Arts.
    * On January 19th, 2017, DT said that he would cut funding for the National Endowment for the Humanities.
    * On January 19th, 2017, DT said that he would cut funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
    * On January 19th, 2017, DT said that he would cut funding for the Minority Business Development Agency.
    * On January 19th, 2017, DT said that he would cut funding for the Economic Development Administration.
    * On January 19th, 2017, DT said that he would cut funding for the International Trade Administration.
    * On January 19th, 2017, DT said that he would cut funding for the Manufacturing Extension Partnership.
    * On January 19th, 2017, DT said that he would cut funding for the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services.
    * On January 19th, 2017, DT said that he would cut funding for the Legal Services Corporation.
    * On January 19th, 2017, DT said that he would cut funding for the Civil Rights Division of the DOJ.
    * On January 19th, 2017, DT said that he would cut funding for the Environmental and Natural Resources Division of the DOJ.
    * On January 19th, 2017, DT said that he would cut funding for the Overseas Private Investment Corporation.
    * On January 19th, 2017, DT said that he would cut funding for the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
    * On January 19th, 2017, DT said that he would cut funding for the Office of Electricity Deliverability and Energy Reliability.
    * On January 19th, 2017, DT said that he would cut funding for the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy.
    * On January 19th, 2017, DT said that he would cut funding for the Office of Fossil Energy.
    * On January 20th, 2017, DT ordered all regulatory powers of all federal agencies frozen.
    * On January 20th, 2017, DT ordered the National Parks Service to stop using social media after RTing factual, side by side photos of the crowds for the 2009 and 2017 inaugurations.
    * On January 20th, 2017, roughly 230 protestors were arrested in DC and face unprecedented felony riot charges. Among them were legal observers, journalists, and medics.
    * On January 20th, 2017, a member of the International Workers of the World was shot in the stomach at an anti-fascist protest in Seattle. He remains in critical condition.
    * On January 21st, 2017, DT brought a group of 40 cheerleaders to a meeting with the CIA to cheer for him during a speech that consisted almost entirely of framing himself as the victim of dishonest press.
    * On January 21st, 2017, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer held a press conference largely to attack the press for accurately reporting the size of attendance at the inaugural festivities, saying that the inauguration had the largest audience of any in history, “period.”
    * On January 22nd, 2017, White House advisor Kellyann Conway defended Spicer’s lies as “alternative facts” on national television news.
    * On January 22nd, 2017, DT appeared to blow a kiss to director James Comey during a meeting with the FBI, and then opened his arms in a gesture of strange, paternal affection, before hugging him with a pat on the back.
    * On January 23rd, 2017, DT reinstated the global gag order, which defunds international organizations that even mention abortion as a medical option.
    * On January 23rd, 2017, Spicer said that the US will not tolerate China’s expansion onto islands in the South China Sea, essentially threatening war with China.
    * On January 23rd, 2017, DT repeated the lie that 3-5 million people voted “illegally” thus costing him the popular vote.
    * On January 23rd, 2017, it was announced that the man who shot the anti-fascist protester in Seattle was released without charges, despite turning himself in.
    * On January 24th, 2017, Spicer reiterated the lie that 3-5 million people voted “illegally” thus costing DT the popular vote.
    * On January 24th, 2017, DT tweeted a picture from his personal Twitter account of a photo he says depicts the crowd at his inauguration and will hang in the White House press room. The photo is curiously dated January 21st, 2017, the day AFTER the inauguration and the day of the Women’s March, the largest inauguration related protest in history.
    * On January 24th, 2017, the EPA was ordered to stop communicating with the public through social media or the press and to freeze all grants and contracts.
    * On January 24th, 2017, the USDA was ordered to stop communicating with the public through social media or the press and to stop publishing any papers or research. All communication with the press would also have to be authorized and vetted by the White House.
    * On January 24th, 2017, HR7, a bill that would prohibit federal funding not only to abortion service providers, but to any insurance coverage, including Medicaid, that provides abortion coverage, went to the floor of the House for a vote.
    * On January 24th, 2017, Director of the Department of Health and Human Service nominee Tom Price characterized federal guidelines on transgender equality as “absurd.”
    * On January 24th, 2017, DT ordered the resumption of construction on the Dakota Access Pipeline, while the North Dakota state congress considers a bill that would legalize hitting and killing protestors with cars if they are on roadways.
    * On January 24th, 2017, it was discovered that police officers had used confiscated cell phones to search the emails and messages of the 230 demonstrators now facing felony riot charges for protesting on January 20th, including lawyers and journalists whose email accounts contain privileged information of clients and sources.
If you plan to share, please copy and paste rather than share. You'll reach more people.

But, luckily Hillary wasn't elected. It might have offended your sensibilities.

Actually, here's a hypothetical: a ? wolf that breathes fire and has a t-shirt on that says "I'm going to ? you" crashes into your home. You just gonna be like "oh, just give him a minute, I want to see what he's up to."

Again, Hillary at worst was a tool used for harm reduction, but you want change now. So, tell me in what ways you are actively working to effect change in your community? Outside of your community? You just not voting? Professing to care for vulnerable people and doing nothing to protect them?

This ? for me was never about how I felt about Hillary, but the damage that is going to be done. There is no silver lining to this ? for the people it affects the most. Turning back the clock on climate change, civil rights, and social services isn't empowering anybody.

Pardon the value imposition, but that ? is what politics is.

All u did was list a bunch of things trump did or said. Thats not what i asked for.

    Also, your hypothetical is invalid.

Also, not voting for Hillary doesnt mean i support Trumps actions since his election. Cuz if i did, i probably wouldve voted for him, but i didnt.

    Try again.

A burqa isn't a "hat," and putting your hands on people is assault. So yeah women being assaulted for being Muslim should be a big deal.

Not as big a deal as black folks getting gunned down by the very same public servants they pay to protect them

    Not even ? close.

Its an either or situation? Idk that

    Generalizations are generally intellectually lazy.

Does that only count on here when liberals are being attacked?

Bc non voters are generalized as trump supporters.

Does it work both ways or nah?

Questions like this are stupid conceptually because they rely on the same ? logic that racist whites use to condemn blacks. Basically, TC is picking a large and diverse group of people, and then asking an either or questions about all of them. That's ? dumb. There are some fake liberals and some that legitimately care about social problems including the plight of black America. Stop thinking like the people you supposedly hate.

The way people are apply the word liberal in this thread is similar to how they apply ? /homosexual.

like they are a different race , when most people under the age of 40 Black or White are "Liberal".

lol a black "liberal" person also does no care about your kind of black person ? so does that mean a conservative black person cares or is genuine/not phony ?

I was specific I said white liberals.

what is the difference between a black liberal and a white liberal ?

I don't trust them because they say slick ? and plenty times they're quiet when ? affects black people.

Well with theads like these, you can imagine why some might be hesitant to speak up. Its almost a lose-lose situation.

That said, plenty of white people advocate and are marching right along with black people. Don't discredit them.
