He's the son of Professor X. Like his father he is telepathic just much more powerful than his father and even Jean Grey because he has other powers. Only hook is he also has dissociative personality disorder which paired with his powers makes him dangerous. He also triggered the Age of Apocalypse that rocked the X-Men in the Marvel Comics universe back in the 90's.
Also he can have other powers and bring those personalities to reality making them real. Hence the reason he's called Legion. He's basically a one man Mutant army.
I'm not sure what direction the show will take but In the books he's basically an omega level psionic/ reality warper. Each personality manifests different abilities. Looks like they're bringing in shadow king which is cool. -
not what I expected, but I still like it. a lil mix of inception and insidious to me.
-
Cant wait till april so I can watch them all at once.
-
I like it. It's different, but I can see how it might be hard to get into.
-
I don't wanna give up on it but I'm about to.
I just can't get into this ? I've watched 3 full episodes & it's just not entertaining to me needs more Action -
this show is boring and all over the place
brah, i was thinking the same thing after like the first 20 min of the pilot
i havent picked it back up since
i think all these networks are trying to cash in on having at least a comic book property, but like someone just mentioned, netflix and even the CW has created stories that are compelling and interesting to watch.
Legion, just from the few mins i watched seems rushed af. Idk...or maybe the lead character is just not interesting. From what i've read, the comic he is based on is pretty powerful, but the actor just not doing anything for me -
This ? goes hard. I can tell they put a lot of money into it.
-
David's girl is fine af.
Who's the guy that can move throw objects miles away?
David is mad Opd -
Had to watch this episode twice but I'm starting to think those people in the asylum are personalities of his.
-
It really started to pick up with the last episode.
Probably because one of his personalities (or the parasite)........the fat baldhead guy........took over.
Not sure if the show is gonna be completely true to the comics, but it seems like they're portraying the fat dude as a parasite instead of a personality.
That old man in division told his girl "Beware, he wears a human face."
So it was probably him that was smashing her in that dreamland or wherever that was. -
Great show, really inventive with its structure and really well written as well.
? has mad potential. -
I tried but the show just ain't for me. The action parts are really good. Ireally like the part when he was in the pool and had to go underwater so he could be broken out of the place.
I took the show off my DVR list just couldn't get into. it was boring to me outside of a few parts here and there. It wasn't making any sense to me. -

Probably the Shadow King. He can jump from host to host. If it is SK, he may have been inhabiting Bird's husband -

Aside from David, seems like new characters but I'm not sure -
This is definitely the most legit comic based show out right now. There is so much to take from each episode with multiple watches. So layered. So dope. Makes those Marvel Netflix shows and the Arrowverse look like child's play. Fox has been really ballsy with the X-Men property lately. I'm feeling it.

The Marvel cable series will return for Season 2.
March 15, 2017
FX announced today that Legion has been renewed for a second season. The good news comes two weeks ahead of the freshman drama's first-season finale, which will cap a well-received debut outing that garnered critical acclaim and solid viewership.
Legion is one of the latest Marvel Comics-based entries on television and the first on a cable network after already-having found success with series on both broadcast TV and Netflix. Legion follows a man diagnosed with schizophrenia who comes to realize that the voices he hears and the visions he sees are the result of him actually being a mutant. Now working with a team of specialists, he is able to explore an extraordinary new world of possibilities.
Look for Season 2 of Legion in 2018.

I wouldn't say that about the Marvel Netflix shows, but definitely about the Arrowverse and Agents of Shield.
The thing that makes this show good is that the source material is from comics, but it's not really trying to be a comic show. That's a double edged sword though. Because if you want to see a more standard comic/superhero type show, this will probably disappoint. I'd say this is the same level of quality as the Marvel Netflix shows, but whether or not it is better depends, what you prefer in a show. -
Daredevil is mediocre to put it nicely. Fell flat on it's face both seasons during the back half and the obvious choreography makes the fights laughable. I know the hits don't really connect irl but don't show me that. Not when kickass action is supposed to be one of your fortes.
Cage and Jones were even weaker. Haven't even bothered with Iron Fist. So yeah Legion is the best show with a Marvel license in it's credits. The writing and creativity on it runs laps around it's peers. It's like the Mr. Robot of these TV comic book adaptations. -
Damn, I forgot who I was talking to. Ok, carry on.

Dog get over your assumptions. If you can't have a civil debate about trivial ? just say so. I'm not the first person to point out the flaws in those netflix shows. Not just the Marvel ones either netflix shows in general start out strong and wither away before the season wraps. Probably a product of not creating a season with audience feedback being taken into account like with TV. -

no just no......................Legion is ?
DD and Cage ? on every part of Legion WTF
We clearly don't look for the same ? in entertainment. Daredevil is a shallow kiddie pool. Frankly a waste of my time as a fan of the character but hey at least it's not the movie. While Legion is an olympic sized pool with different pathways. I could see why some of you guys can't get jiggy with it. -

Look man, it is what it is. I'm not saying you're a contrarian, but we've done this dance enough for me to know that when it comes to certain things, if they are popular, you always seem to want to nitpick them. None of the MCU Netflix shows are perfect, neither is Legion. You basically just said all the MCU Netflix shows are weak. You're like the only person that believes that. I give you the benefit of the doubt and say you're being sincere in your beliefs. There isn't really any room for a debate when two people just disagree on a subjective matter. All you can do is agree to disagree.
