She sure did and she deserved it..I was feeling her pain in Fences.
Have you seen it?
Having to deal with what she was dealing with is not exclusive to black women, honey. She did her job to make sure she transcended race with her performance.
I don't believe you felt her pain if you ain't laugh at that lol -

I agree. It had weak parts to the movie, but it really came together in the middle and kinda of diluted near the end. It was Nat Parker's first directed movie and could have been so much better made, but the fact that we have a Nat Turner movie is bigger than the actual movie itself. -
Hidden figures>>>
Jonelle monae is cute af -

She shouldn't of been in the supporting category it's a strange one she was on screen as much as denzel. Am i right in thinking Halle berry is the only black actress to win that award? -

Halle is the only AA to win one the best actress Oscar.
to be fair the story was mainly about Troy as the main protagonist , she couldve fallen into either category. -

You aint been invested in nobody like that for real.
You spent years making that be known.
Fear of commitment i believe you called it.
It's called empathy, genius. You don't have to live someone's pain to feel it. The thought of having to experience that type of pain is part of the fear of commitment. -

I feel that just odd feeling it wasn't to stop Emma stone winning.. black actors need to stop taking home the supporting trophy. -

Well you can only stop just winning supporting Oscars if you get leading roles , thats not the Academy's problem , thats a hollywood hiring problem.
It was just gonna be Emma Stone's year Viola or not. She just had the momentum from the jump.
Ruth Neega was great in Loving and she got a leading role nod, she bodied her role , but i just think that Audition scene in Lala Land kinda sealed the deal , you can deny the movie but cant deny that part tbh. -
Blsck ppl took home Best Picture, Screenplay, supporting actor, & supporting actress
But some of yall still think whitey has a conspiracy because black people didnt win ALL the awards... And yall didnt even watch the movies -

I mean, there's kinda 400 years of solid proof, but that's neither here nor there. -

Moonlight was a great film but.............yet again the Oscars choose to give awards to us when its "that" type of role/movie. The Halle in Monster Ball type role, the Denzel as a bad guy role, the ? black dude role this time around, along with Naomi as a ? ? .
Yall notice Hidden Figures basically got shutout. You know, the film where nobody had to compromise themselves. Selma had the samething happen. -
