The creator has said personally kilmer was the ideal batman -
Clooney is treated unfairly. His portrayal was the result of a bad director, bad script, and terrible vision. I'm my opinion, he had the look and attitude for Batman/Bruce Wayne down.

The one thing Clooney did successfully as Batman is suck at it.

Kilmer had some moments in the suit and at least his Bruce Wayne was the most 3 dimensionally written out of all those movies. Even if he played it like a stiff. Clooney only had those scenes with Alfred and Michael Gough carried those scenes really.

28 years later and it's still the best one. The characters, the acting, the writing, the visuals, the score. It's probably Tim Burton's best film.

and as a child i was more a "Returns" fan but the Original grew on me the older i got.
the gloominess, the art deco building in Burtons movie is what i love about them "Forever" and "Robin" were to bright.
