Nobody is calling MOP wack, but the question is whether or not they're top 5?

Maybe the T/S should have made this a poll.

Anyway, there's a little known song by Red Hot Lover Tone (who later became Tone from Poke and Tone or the Trackmasters). the song was called 4 My Peeps. It featured Biggie, MOP and Organized Konfusion. There were two versions on Red Hot Lover Tone's album but neither one of them were hot imo.

But here's an unreleased remix of the song thats better than the two versions on Red Hot Lover Tone's album.

    MOP go in @ 2:12

I didn't notice it was gone until I looked for it to hit on that post. I like M.O.P., but I can't say they're better than Ball and G.

I never once said they were wack. They just for sure not top 5. They not much outside of NY. ? can say ? about their success overseas, but let's not act like those weirdos aren't feeding Waka Flocka family while he performs songs off Flockaveli for the past 4 years.

Mop is not a one hit wonder the same way styles is not a one hit wonder as a solo artist. They have a solid catalog. Selling out shows does not a top 5 group make.

    They’re not better than OutKast
They’re not better than Mobb Deep
They’re not better than Ball and G
    They’re not better than UGK
They’re not better than the Clipse.

I haven’t heard enough of any other group to make the distinction, but I’m sure some one else has. But the 5 above, I’m super solid with. Field Mob is nice too.

I'm on the west. I heard "Good Times" and Styles first album was a first day cop. Plus Styles already had clout. Can't compare the 2. Hell Field Mob first 2 albums are personal classics. Ante Up was on BET. I know the producer worked with John Cena. MOP signed to G-Unit & ain't do ? . Them ? are local jokers. Them ? are 1 hit wonders. Styles been on a few classics.

Don’t backtrack, you never listened to no damn mop album shut up

If you've never heard an MOP album then you really can't say if they're top 5 or not.

Then again, I've never heard a UGK or a 8 Ball and MJG album.

I guess the question is more complicated then I initially thought.
