Colorado Minister Arrested for Getting 14-Year-Old Church Member Pregnant

Colorado police arrested a 22-year-old pastor after he allegedly impregnated a 14-year-old girl who had his child.

According to the Denver Post, Romello Leach, who preaches at several churches, was taken into custody on Wednesday, November 22. Police have reported, Leach allegedly had sex with the teenager twice since late 2016.

According to El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, the girl did not reveal her pregnancy until her mother noticed her growing belly. In May, the mother took her daughter to the Colorado Springs Pregnancy Center, where she revealed the sexual encounters with Leach. According to the affidavit, the teen said she and Leach had intercourse in November 2016 and again in early 2017.

An employee of the pregnancy center told authorities, who launched an investigation. Earlier this month, police caught Leach in a recorded conversation where he admitted to having sex with the teen on at least four instances. After admitting to being the father of the child, Leach called his actions "wrong," citing that he was "full of ? ."

Leach has been charged with multiple felony counts of sexual assault on a child felony. He is currently being held at El Paso County jail without bond as police are investigating if he has any other victims.
