Kamurocho Burns in the Next Yakuza Game
Get a look at the cast and setting for Yakuza 5
Sega is gearing up for its next PS3 Yakuza game announcement, to take place a this year's Tokyo Game Show.
They've provided just a couple of hints as to what we can expect so far:
Up at top, the current lineup of playable characters for the game. The lineup includes Goro Majima, Kiryu Kazuma, Shun Akiyama and Ryuji Goda.
This is a strange lineup indeed. They're all from past Yakuza games. Kiryu is, of course, the main character for the series. Akiyama was one of the playable characters in Yakuza 4. At least one of the four is supposed to be dead. And none of them should be toting guns like that.
Below is a shot of the main entrance to the game's primary setting of Kamurocho. It looks like something terrible has happened (or maybe not so terrible, given the ? that resides in Kamurocho and its real world counterpart Kabukicho).
All should be cleared up leading up to next month's Tokyo Game Show. At present, Sega hasn't even provided a name for the new game, but we're referring to it as Yakuza 5 since it seems to be the next main line game to follow PS3's Yakuza 4.

Co-sign, I wasn't feeling it either. But it has a huge following in Japan, different cultures I guess. -

I didnt like the demo either but I heard it doesnt do the game justice (like the Uncharted 1 and 2 demos) so Im still copping them -

I gotta say this makes a lot of sense. The game has such a huge following and receives high reviews. There is no way that the demo can be a true reflection of the game.
