never sold a beat in my life, but if you wanna sell em like jums, then I'd sell a lot for a little at first, but if you know what type of customer it is, like a one time customer, go for the gusto. Now what the low is, I would say $10 or $20, but thats if u selln them in bulk. One timers, I'd say $50. Of course, this is if the person(s) youre selling to are local and dont have like record deals, but if you got that clientel, u wanna work up something that'll help you get residual income along with a base price.
HOPE IT HELPS. -
again, this is coming from a ? who's never sold a beat. lol

If you're selling the Exclusive Rights...meaning you're selling ALL of your copyrights along with it, even if it IS your 1st beat sold, you shouldn't be charging anything less than $5000...unless it's just a local act with a little bread to his/her name. Then maybe you can drop it down to no less than $200 - $500.
If it's just the beat itself to a local cat, but you retain your copyrights, then a minimum of $100 should be enough. But if it's someone with some clout, you can push it to around $250 on up.
Realize that if you're selling your copyrights, that means if the song goes Diamond, you'll NEVER see another penny from it, so use careful consideration. -
i ended up just selling a lease.
still money tho
