Report: Comedian Greg Giraldo dead at 44
TMZ is reporting that comedian Greg Giraldo, who was hospitalized over the weekend after an apparent accidental overdose, has died.
"RIP Greg Giraldo" is already the top trending topic on Twitter as fans and other comedians mark his passing.
Close friend and fellow comedian Jim Norton: "Greg Giraldo passed away today. This is the last photo of us together, taken June 28 at Noam's wedding. RIP buddy."
Sarah Silverman: "RIP Greg Giraldo. Belly-laugh hilarious, prolific, good & kind. A thousand oys can't express."
Jamie Kennedy: "greg giraldo. the world has lost a brilliant mind. i was very fortunate to watch greg at the laugh factory many times. he was gutbusting.RIP"
Dane Cook: "Greg Giraldo may you RIP. My thoughts & prayers go to his family, friends & fans."
Giraldo was a reliably funny regular on Comedy Central roasts and had most recently served as a judge on NBC's reality competition show, "Last Comic Standing." In a 2005 Conan O'Brien appearance, Giraldo -- who had a history of substance abuse -- said that he had quit drinking.
Damn that's sad. He was the funniest person on all those roasts. RIP

seriously man. r.i.p. he definately had talent that was often overlooked. i cant believe this thread has this few replies. if some overrated comedian like dl hugley or dane cook passed, the thread's capacity would probably be full.
anyway, here's a clip of the last roast he was featured on while he was alive. needless to say he and gilbert gottfried were the best two that night.
