Night Catches Us is a 2010 drama film directed and written by Tanya Hamilton and stars Kerry Washington, Anthony Mackie and Novella Nelson.

Kerry Washington is amazing.
Even though i'm sick of black movies dealing with period race issues, this one looks like it has a new, interesting story. -
Anthony Mackie and the Roots...sounds like a winner to me!
