Ok so it's almost time for the big showdown in T-town.... Who y'all got?

Sidenote: I was looking through my closet yesterday and ran across a Lacoste shirt, I threw that ? away cuz it had a gator on it, bad timing for that shirt I guess....

But anyway, Let's get it Tide!!!!

I wouldn't even look at the odds and expert picks and all that ? . The game will be played on the field. The best athletes in the country all over the field, gonna be a good one.

Yeah but Florida just doesn't have it this year. They are talented but young.

Demps isn't 100% and Moody is average.

No #1 WR or deep threat on the team.

    OL suspect

    Off. Coord. is suspect too.

    Game is in Bama.

Meyer will have to pull something out of his hat this weekend. Its possible but....

That ? Moody is ? Garbage...jehovah witness Bean pie selling lookin ass ? ...

anyways Florida all hype now cuz of this true freshman Burton , u cant Rely on true Freshman, and Florida Offensive Talent dont impress me....

im Rolling with Bama, it'll probably be close at first because both teams playing off Adrenaline, but Saban gonna stick to his game plan all game and just keep pounding the football and Florida Defense gonna start to wear down in that mid to late 3rd QT ....one thing saban don't do is get outside his game plan...

Im with Bama on this one. Just wondering how Bama's offense going to hold up against Florida's D. They did a segment about it on ESPN yesterday. They showed how Bama adjusted to Florida's corner blitz by throwing a screen right behind it. It was a thing of beauty!
Then they showed how the Florida DBs are getting better at anticipating the throw.

Best matchup: Alabama wide receivers vs. Florida defensive backs. Florida leads the nation with 12 interceptions and is sixth in pass efficiency defense, but the Gators' secondary will get its biggest test of the season from Alabama's wide receivers. Julio Jones is the star, but Marquis Maze and Darius Hanks also are dangerous, and the Tide also hurt the Gators with passes to the tight end in the past two SEC championship games. Florida's Janoris Jenkins is playing as well as any cornerback not named Patrick Peterson, and SS Ahmad Black is one of three Gators with three picks. One potential trouble spot for Florida: The Gators' nickel backs are true freshmen, and you have to think Alabama QB Greg McElroy will look to exploit them. McElroy threw for 239 yards against the Gators in the SEC title game last season.

All that Sounds Great about Florida's DB's and INT's but they haven't played against any good Passers....Thats Like when folks were trying to say South Carolina had the best Run Defense in the SEC before they Played Auburn, that sounds good but who did they play before Auburn that had a Running Game?? Nobody...then what happened ..Auburn Ran For 350+ yards on them.

Four interceptions against Matt Sims and Mike Hartline is still good. But I feel you. Neither QB is Ryan Mallet or Andrew Luck.

    QB numbers from both games
    Kentucky
cmp att yds td int yds/att
    Mike Hartline (0) 21 39 242 1 2 6.2
    Randall Cobb (0) 1 2 11 1 0 5.5

    Tennessee
cmp att yds td int yds/att
    Matt Simms (0) 19 31 259 2 2 8.4

    3) McElroy threw two interceptions against Arkansas, one on a bad decision and one on a terrific play by a Razorback defender. Florida leads the nation with 12 picks, two more than any other team. If there is a formula for a Gator victory, it is forcing McElroy to try to do too much and letting Jenkins and safety Ahmad Black go to work.

he 'manages' the game. he almost 'lost' the game for the against arkansas.

i would just stick with the running game. let that set up the play action. throw in some screens, short throws. mcelroy should not be asked to do much, nor should he have to. hes just another piece to the puzzle

McElroy is up and down nh... Like last year, he started off great and struggled midway thru the season. Late in the season he actually played out of this world(Auburn and Florida). But he does have basically 2 of the top 5 backs in the country in the backfield...
