I downloaded the dvd offline and it is the exact same footage so the guy didn't doctor it.
I still think it might be a brush or something, no idea who she could be talking to though. -

Excellent point. I keep forgetting its a woman because it looks a lot like Ebenezer Scrooge to me. He would be one of the people able to ball like that back then too.
