How much do you think an actor or actress...

playing a "based on a true story" type role in movies (and doing a good job at it) helps them? Theres been a few that i think gave them a life line for another movie...like angela basset, taye digss,will smith(even though he was good got him oscar nom), and so forth.

    Hell, they almost have to. 70% of the projects hollywood greenlights is either based on a pre-existing property (comic, cartoon, old TV show, etc) or a true story bio-pic.

    They'd all starve to death if they only did original scripts.
