How can eating meat make you less healthy? I think the main purpose it just to get a superfcial feeling of righteousness.

What? Pork is not unhealthy, that's just an old superstition from eons ago.

Uh... I'm talking about fat content. For the most part, pork is very fatty and of course too much fat is not good.

So then it's healthy as long as it's in moderation?

Someone would say that. I will say there are healthier alternatives.

meat's an extremely inefficient way to get your nutritional needs

vegetarianism is largely an ethical argument today, what with mega corporation factory farms and what not

also its healthy for most people's metabolisms to cut out the insane amounts of meat Americans like to eat

Like what? humus and chick pea stuff? That kinda stuff tastes funny, that's why more people aren't vegetarian.

Meat is the lazy man's meal, right on.

    Everything in moderation...

As far as meat goes, pork is not as good as other meat choices.

I think some of why people choose to be vegetarians is for moral reasons. The notions of murder is applied to even the animals so they would rather eat what can't be killed. I think it's healthy to eat this way but only at first glance.

Meat is healthy, but you don't need to overeat it. Hamburger and Pork are very unhealthy though, the fat content is too high and it shouldn't be eaten like it is.

Also from me being an athlete I know there is no way in hell I could go out and play without eating meat.

Being a vegan you get no creatinine which means energy and building muscle is slowed dramatically, little protein, decreased vitamins and minerals. Obviously you could take pills to get those but it aint the same.

    Oy! No double doubles!?!

I eat meat but I do know I over eat it and not in a healthy way.

Moderation is key, that is really all. It's all so unhealthy because we don't have self control, "Oooh that's so good I'm going back for seconds, and thirds and the next day and the next week!!"

No one cares, nor do they even know the calories they're eating away when they eat a meal at a fast food restaurant.

From the time I was 13 until the time I was 21 I ate Mcdonalds every morning before I worked out and have never had any issues with my health. The fat ? you up when you dont burn off what you take in

My same reasons for eating meat. I play basketball and like to run up stairs before I go to work, so eating meat is always gonna be in my gameplan.
