Of your GPA credibility when applying to colleges? Man I'm scared out of my mind. Last year I had a 2.8 then it dropped to 2.4 and now it feels like the requirements of every school is too tall. I find myself trying to rely on doing extra ? (meeting with the admission people, writing things, keeping contact) to make up for the GPA. Sometimes when I'm not doing anything I feel like I'm wasting time or burning my life away. Overall I just feel like I'm going to be going to a county college my first to years and thats a route I don't want to take but I might have to.

So can you guys give me tips on how to make up for my lackluster GPA and show them I'm down to making their school better?

I was scared once when I had a terrible nightmare, when I woke up I found myself sweating badly and inhaling rapidly and my heart was pumping with speed like it was going to burst. That was one horrible night.

Hell yeah, I went back home to MD for the weekend. I called up some of my friends to hang out and we hit up B-more one night. I guess some chick I was talking to, boyfriend of ex was there too. So, as we were leaving we hop in the ride and get to the light. Mannnnnn all I know we were staring down the barrel of guns, dude talking about how I know that ? . Thank ? the cops rolled up 2 cars behind because I probably wouldn't be here today. All over some chick...

Youll see soon, it doesnt matter what college you go to unless you have a masters. Get in where you fit in, dont stress that ?

Try to get a decent SAT score, atleast a 1400 or so. Even if you dont get accepted into the college that you want to
Right out of High school, you still go to community college for 2 years and then FULLY transfer to almost any state school nationwide, and you'll save money that way.

I had a 3.5 GPA and a 1800 SAT and I could almost go to any college that wasnt IVY league. I chose a HBCU because I wanted to get all the black ? and ? . To be honest, HBCUs are a waste of money unless your on scholarship, they CHARGE you MORE for less.

Just make your college decision wisely, because everyone is going to college nowadays. The best asset of college for me was getting to a BIG city, like Atlanta, theres so much MONEY and Success here.

Best advice to a college student with or without a good gpa is to focus on a trade. Too many people get out of college (myself included) thinking these jobs are going to train you, when they actually do not have the patience. The only thing that raises eyebrows nowdays are portfolios and examples of your work. People don't want to read your accomplishments in the days of show me what you have. I know getting into schools you need a gpa and for scholarships and grants, but I'm just adding 2 cents for what will help you get that job you want. Focus on a trade more than a gpa and most likely that gpa will go up as a result of your knowledge in that trade
