From what I understand, audio (especially 7.1) takes up a lot - sometimes as much as video. -

BR is not just about movies.
As a storage medium, BR is great. 50GB on a single disc is good for near-term storage, though I still have my doubts about the shelf life of optical media over magnetic tape. -

dont know where u live at but when blu rays go on sale they are cheaper than dvds....i just bought inception for 15 bucks on blu ray....its 20 for just the dvd
