I just finished reading Che Guevara´s biography and it touched my heart.

Stalin didn't do that.
Well, if you mean "didn't personally preside over firing squads", then yes.
Stalin was a BAWSSSSSSSSSSSSssssssssssssssssssssss.

Che was great for his time period and is an Icon of Revolutionary Communism just like Huey P Newton. Both had flaws and ideologies that need an updating this century.

In this world, you will always have your supporters and detractors. Just make sure you get the job done regardless of that, and this is what Che did. He will remain a legend.

yeah, word to those successful socialist revolutions in Bolivia and The Congo -

Really can't overstate it. The iconic picture of Che is public domain, so anybody can print it on t-shirts and sell it without regard to copyright or royalties.
Get the t-shirt for $1.33, stamp Che's mug on it for $0.75, sell them ? for $20 a pop to dumb Marxists.
Beautiful. Cash Rules. -

For what Che initially set out to do, he got the job done and certain westerners like you and many others are still mad about it til this day. Capitalism's not perfect and nor is Communism, but Che did the latter to the fullest in the U.S.'s 3rd world backyard.
Now, he wanted to continue spreading the message of Revolution worldwide and it's only so much of that anyone with limited resources can do. Nevertheless, he went out doing what he loved. -
People don't understand that AT THAT TIME, what Che was doing was right in the eyes of many people. Even Malcolm X was cool with Fidel and his followers and went to meet them. Many blacks & whites were fighting a war against the U.S. within the states and J Edgar Hoover's FBI was fighting back vigorously, but there were strong levels of conflict from 1965-1970, which toned down in the 70's and was finally wrapped up with the apprehension of Mutulu Shakur (2Pac's step dad) in 1986.
Now I agree that Communism needs an update, but overall the revolution was needed.
Edit: Also remember that Mutulu was able to break his sister Assata Shakur who was wrongfully imprisoned, out to the safe haven of Cuba. If it wasn't for Che & Fidel's successful Revolution, she'd probably be doing football numbers in the U.S. Prison System for no reason other than fighting for human rights. -

you can use that argument for about any ? up course of events in human history...and the real reason Assata Shakur has remained in Cuba is because Castro hates the US and it's like giving them a ? you for decades -

First of all, I don't view what Fidel, Che, Malcolm, Mutulu and Assata did as a ? up course in human history. That's your view. Again, if it wasn't for Che and Fidel, some African American Revolutionaries would not have had a safe haven from the U.S. When you share a common enemy, it's best to stick together. You're trying to put a negative slant on it (you work for CNN so it's not a suprise) when nothing in regards to this Assata situation has been that. -
@blackrain
I applaud those who had the courage to do what they did. They picked up arms against the strongest military and law enforcement power in the world for the cause of human rights. However, I have stated numerous times that Communism needs an update; in particular, Cuban and possibly, North Korean. Russia and China appear to have already done theirs. -

let's not talk about all the things that Che did wrong in this thread about how Che Guevara is the greatest human being of the last 5000 years
The next time there's a thread about guns rights I'm going to smugly imply that you think guns cannot be dangerous to anyone ever no matter what. -
