Namco confirms development of new Soul Calibur title

Videogame hostilities traded by popular fighting franchises Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat will soon have to be redirected after Japanese game maker Namco announced that its acclaimed Soul Calibur series is set to make a return.
The news was broken via micro-blogging site Twitter by Soul Calibur designer Daishi Odashima, who simply wrote on his newly opened account that: “SC is BACK! Get ready, fans!”
To avoid any possible confusion with expectant Namco followers, Odashima’s brief tweet was posted along with a photo of him sat at his desk doodling some iconic Soul Calibur weaponry.
In reinforcing Odashima’s announcement, series producer Katsuhiro Harada followed soon after by confirming that “Soul Calibur is back!!” Colour us convinced.
Although Namco has not revealed any details regarding the return of its battling brawler, we here at The Tech Herald believe the new series entrant will be a full home console release—making it the first such title since Soul Calibur IV in 2008.

cool, I never was a fan besides Soul Calibur 1 on Dreamcast but more fighting games being made is always good news.
