first off they stole rap from da ville (muhammad ali) then i just found out that they stole "breaking" from the west coast. damn yall takin as many if not more "L's" as your boy nas. how do yall feel knowing yall didnt contribute nothing to hip hop/rap?

But...he wasn't a rapper though. He's a DJ. His influence being a traveling DJ providing riddims for those who do toasting i.e. MCing.
Toasting a style of lyrical chanting originated from Afrikan musical traditions and was popular in Jamaica from in the late 60's and 70's ...Herc is from Jamaica and he brought that ? to the U.S... -

LOL @ you trying to troll...I'm a boxing fan... and even though Ali in the technical sense in the sport of boxing was one of the first braggadocios fighters been that he can talk ? in rhyme and back it up in the ring, Herc in the musical sense started it.
