Would You Sample Another Producer?

ok. example:
JRB (me) puts out an instrumental project on the net. One of these tracks is something you want to sample. Lets say its a crazy piano and then some strings. There are no drums or anything else on it. If you want to sample it... Do you? Or do you think by sampling it you are "biting" off of JRB or stealing from him. Are you breaking some kind of unwritten rule among producers? Or is it just like you finding some vinyl and chopping that up?...

NAH... actually i'm thinking of tooking some ? LOL, its crazy, but i kinda feel like its ? up if i chop & flip it... but its the same ? we do with old samples right? so.......
i'm conflicted -
as long as you're not taking straight loops outta people's ? it should be no problem

I think its the same as using another producer's drumkit. I dont think anything is off limits. As long as you do something different with it instead of blatantly imitating what that producer did with it, its all good.

yeah id say as long as your hitting it hard creatively then where you get the sample is secondary.. as long as you ? with it and add your own flavor i think your doing what a lot of ppl do with ? out of the 50-70's just with something up to date..
