will a strong defense beat a strong offense?
or
will a strong offense beat a strong defense?
or
does the weaker side of the two determine the winner?

a team can have great defense but cant score....

a team can score like hell but cant stop ?

or does the team with strong defense can score a third of the time win?

or does the team with strong offense can stop scoring on them a third of the time win?

so is the strength in how strong the weakness is?

If team A has a stout defense but wack offense, team B has a great offense but wack defense, it's only so long you can keep your stout defense out there before they start wearing down. I'll take a balanced team.

I remember back in 2002 when the Patriots won their first Superbowl. I think their defense scored 3 touchdowns via pick sixes. Their defense scored more than their offense.

Its defense, when Peyton won his two superbowls it was because of defense (yea even the first one), 00 and 12 Ravens, 03 Bucs, 08 and 11 Giants, Seattle, Rodgers had the number 1 defense when he won, those early Pats teams, Steelers, all great defenses and most of them didn't have high powered offenses, you win the momentum and field position battle, you keep the opposing defense on the field allowing your offense to do work, defense leads to offense, but that's one sport
