It's worth a listen... this is arguably the last LL Cool J lyrical content album.

    Cosign.

I thought Phenomenon was cool and 4,3,2,1 is one of the best posse jams in the history of Hip Hop but I had no interest in hearing the whole album at the time.

Having said that, LL is top 10 all time. Its just that I listened to his earlier stuff, like his first two albums.

I don't remember anybody hyping up this album.

Actually he had an album called 10 that was decent. It had Luv U Better, Paradise feat Amerie and All I Have feat J. Lo.

Co-sign. I grew up on LL mainly because my big cousin was a huge fan and even back then I knew that this was a major let down after the Mr. Smith era. LL did not fit that Bad Boy mold at all.

Eh 10 wasn't much of anything outside of the singles you just named. You could tell LL was tryna find his sound. From Puff, to Neptunes, to Timbo. ? just stopped being authentic.

At the end of the day, LL's greatest hits album can hang with anybody else's greatest hits album.

Its just that his prime was 85-95.

first rap song i ever remember hearing was mama said knock you out. i was only 8 but it blew my mind. i been a hiphop junkie ever since. so ll will always be one of the greats to me regardless of what hes put out in the last 20 years

I think I bought the album (I can't even remember). Aside from 4321 it was a forgettable album.

4321 only thing worth listening too on this joint...

One of his lesser albums. I eventually traded this for Ma$e's Harlem World...

should have had the Trackmasters producing most of the album like they did with "Mr Smith".......Puff and the Hitmen production was consistent with the "Shiny Suit" era
