Dusting off my skills - Looking to connect with dope producers

Hi guys, I used to produce quite a bit in high school using fruity loops. I've since lost my touch but am looking to get back into it. I have a few beats that I made back in the day & would love some insight on to where I can get proper VSTs for violins, pianos & possibly sitars. I've currently downloaded Fruity loops 10.

Much love & respect, bare with me as I dust off :)

Image Line's Sakura is perfect for these types of sounds.

Pianoteq is great for pianos since it's modeled and not reliant on samples.

Dope, thanks so much my friend. I was wondering if you could help me with another issue. Last FL Studio I used was FL 7 & I enjoyed it very much. I recently downloaded FL 10 & although it's a great program, I'm having trouble figuring out the new patterning use. I understand you can create multiple patterns & paste it to the playlist but I found it much easier to use FL 7 as it allows you to add as many instruments & copy & paste it to create a loop & ultimately it allowed you to play your patterns in song mode. I could add drums & bass for example & play around with the melody as I go. I was wondering if there is a way to play multiple patterns on FL 10 in song mode? as currently it doesn't allow me to play those patterns (song mode) unless I paste them into the playlist. Which doesn't help me add drums & other beats as I listened to the melody.

    Much love xo

Pretty much the only way to do it the old way is to use FL7. That's why I keep my old versions around. I have versions going back to 4.0 because sometimes there's a particular workflow that's ideal for the way I'm thinking at a given moment. Generally I might jump on 6, 7, 9, or 10 but I've actually reinstalled FL5 and 4 on occasion just for the workflow.

Yeah I hear you. Any way to get a cracked version of FL 7? Imagine line doesn't even carry it anymore which sucks & the ones I found were just demo versions

I bought into FL Studio back at 4.0. I get free upgrades for life. Back then it was pretty cheap but nowadays the cheapest version runs $100 or so. That ain't such a bad price given that 4.0 came out in... what... 2003 or so?

If money is an issue, check out Reaper or energyXT. Both are pretty cheap and are actually really good.

Yeah I tired straight out buying it but they don't carry older versions. I got FL 10 so I'll mess around with it & see if I get the same hang of it as I did the older versions. Thanks for your help :) much appreciated

I sent you FL7, if you got the keygen from the older version it should work. @konceptjones might be able to help with that.

Far as the sounds you looking for, Native Instrument's Kontakt is a good starting point. They have all of those things from low to high ass quality libraries.
