I got put on to Battle Angel Alita in 06 by a friend how had the Battle Angel Alita anime on VHS tape. So when I found it it was manga I started reading it in the same year. It's still ongoing to this day.
James Cameron talked about making this movie for years, and now it drops on 7/20/18. Directed by Robert Rodriguez

As for the manga, there are three parts to it. The third part Gunnm: Mars Chronicle is supposed to be the conclusion to the decades story, which is still ongoing. But you know I got ya'll with the links:

Robert Rodriguez is directing James Cameron's script. Cameron is producing. He only didn't direct cause he's pretty busy with Avatar 2, 3 and infinity.

From what I saw, the movie is not going to hold true to the manga, but I'm still going to watch. -

Movie wasn't bad, felt a little rushed though.
If it were like a 12 ep season it woulda been GOAT but ? happened so fast I barely cared about the characters -

Looks good, but I'm worried about the script. I heard they are basing this off of motorball which didn't come until WAY later in the manga, and it wasn't even that important to the overall story even though it was good.

I also noticed that her nemesis is missing from the movie. -
The movie looks okay, the comment section is toxic though. Nowadays all people care about is "whitewashing" and other nonsensical ? . Nobody seemed to even know what the story was about. -
the CGI needs a little more work (don't know if its intentional) but yeah i ? with the trailer
