you are gonna have to get some plug ins from somewhere

the basic kick drums and 808's that they give you are pretty much garbage

it's a bunch of places you can go to get free sounds and instruments

somebody gave me mines but they got thiers off of the net

bass in FL is amazing when you know how to program basses. I tell cats over on Future Producers that all the time. Dudes always taumbout "Stock FL sounds is ass", I always tell 'em "Make your own sounds and they won't be ass".

<<<<<<<<< Longtime FL Studio user. Still got my installers for 3.5 through 9.

BTW, if you're just trying to do an 808 kick drum or whatnot, Drum Synth Live is your friend once you learn to program.

^^^ I use it a lot when I'm ? around with Detroit Techno and Ghettotech.

ReFx Nexus is boss for sine bass. I've used it in a couple beats. It's not very malleable, so you cant really tweak presets too much, but it's still pretty handy. Only way I know to get it for free is to cop a Torrent. There are a lot of expansions for it too.

Novation bass station also another sick VST to use for bass. Here's a link:
    http://katz.cd/download/4588261/Other/Novation-Bass-Station-1-5

as for 808s I have no clue how to get em soundin right to be honest... I usually just use downloaded ones from my packs.

To be 100% honest, neither of them are even necessary for basses. I have Bass Station, I stopped using it when I got deeper into programming Wasp XT (and even doing simple stuff with the standard Wasp).

However... If you just want to use presets, download TAL's Elek7ro VST plugin (it's free). There's a preset on it with a heavy hittin 808 kick tuned across the keys. http://kunz.corrupt.ch/?Products:VST_TAL-Elek7ro

I have it and use it for quick and ? electro 808's.
