Why do so many of the new NY rappers have the Jadakiss and Fab disease?

You know, punchlines but just can't put together songs, they are so damn interchangeable and one dimensional . There is nothing compelling about none of these cats either, they don't have a unique story, according to everyone of these mfs, they are slanging rocks on the block. There aint enough cokeheads in the U.S. for all this coke talk. Why does it seem like every NY is i'm from the block ? , are mfs experiences that limited?

Thats a disease that happens when you spend more hours in a cipher than in the damn studio w/ some headphones on writing to the beat.

These cats on the stoop writing lyrics in the Blackberry high off Kush and pissy from Crown Royal.

Yes and no with the coke content, his approach was different (more interpersonal). Alot of these rappers have seem to been tryna duplicate Only Built for Cuban Links formula and use the Big L/Jada punchline style. ? aint even prevalent like that anymore, mfs acting like they still live i the 80s.

Alot of these mfs need to leave their hoods or read about the world, their experiences are short as hell. We even have established rappers on the same dumb ? , aint Fab like 6 albums deep and Jada 3 solo album deep, why are they still on that coke ? . These mfs have travelled the world 10 times over, and none of their experiences are reflected in their music.

Jay-Z is 40 years old and has travelled the world and he still talks about coke... Dont point fingers when Jay-Z does the same ? and he has more money and probably more airmiles then Jada and Fab combined...

There is a difference between glorifying it like you still live that life, and referencing back what you use to do or contrasting the rap game with the drug game. How many of these ? you really believe is pushing or have ever pushed ki's in their lives.

If the coke game is so damn profitable then why are ? even rapping then because ? knows only a handful of ? are making bread in rap now. The coke game must not be as profitable as these mfs are portraying it.

I just think beyond Fab, Jada, Banks, Budden etc, that whole punchline gimmick became stale, if they knew how to balance out the punchlines with good song writing then it wouldn't be so bad.

Are we ever gonna get some NY mcs who come of left field and not talk about cliche ? . I would love to hear some music when they lines doesn't consist of ''IM ON THE BLOCK LIKE", "IM IN THE HOOD LIKE", ''I GOT GUNZ LIKE", "I PUSH MORE POWDER THAN",etc. SMH these Jae Millz, Murdah Mook, etc type mcs, everything is "like".

Padded Room was dope as hell. Banks first album was solid, Jada and Fab rely on formula's too much.

Yeah I agree and both are worse at it than your average NY rapper like Murda Mook.

LOL at you finding the rare tracks when they actually rap about something halfway decent, even on thy Why track the ? is talking about cars on a serious track. ? are limited as ? , those punchline rappers write around their punchlines, they stay tryna force one liners. That's why their bars are so disjointed and predictable.

I cant co sign this Hunger For More was better than Kiss The Game Goodbye and it's better than Padded Room too. But Padded Room had some deep tracks as well as some dope concept songs. Budden is a punchline rapper that def knows how to switch it up and actually make songs.

This was very original.... I remember this... Pap had CONCEPTS for days... some just weren't executed well..

Co sign, I thought he had potential too, his buzz was insane, his mistake was not capitalizing on it with an album and to make matters worse he had NO deal when his buzz was strong and he couldn't maintain his buzz.

Honestly He should've ditch DJ Kay Slay and he would've been bigger... Kay Slay held him back alot cuz his old grand papa ass was so focused on them Stripper ? and not his artist..... And Pap did have potential only problem with Pap was his delivery... because Wayne has 23856 wack punchlines and like 4 hard ones but his DELIVERY doesnt make ppl point that out...

His mistake was letting Kay Slay get in his ear and it cost him getting a deal before his buzz was big and he settled for a contract with Jive Records.
