    Do you sample or play the keys??? If you play the keys obv your gonna want something with more keys. 2nd one looks like it would be something cool if you travel a lot and want to make beats on a plane or some ? . IMO 25 keys is not enough.

    the 25 key is the ? if you use a laptop and would like your set up to be portable or used in confined/limited areas..and because you can just edit the midi to switch your octaves you can still pull off your full range if you go into the program.. i know i like my 25 key anyways... like dude said though if you go all out and play the piano the small one will seriously cramp your ability if your used to a full spread to hit your chords n ? ..

    well, a controller keyboard might not be the route you wanna go - they're mainly for controlling sounds coming from your pc as virtual instruments. you can still find a pretty decent keyboard, but not necessarily in that price range.
