They're one of my favourite bands, or at least were until their break up....
What you think???
Saw them live twice, both great...

Er... no appreciation from me
I think they're rip-offs of The Beatles and are highly overrated
They had a couple of anthem-ic songs in the UK alright in the '90's
But their extravagant cockiness became corny and bands with better producers/production overtook them...
That ? with Jigg concerning Glastonbury was funny as hell though -
Beattles wanna be and they talk too much ? ? for essentially a one hit wonder, they've never been able to duplicate Wonder Wall hear in the states.

Love them they have these smooth songs fitted for acoustic guitar playing, always loved to play them on my guitar as a kid. my two fav songs of theirs are
and another classic
ps now you made me listen to them after a long while -

Definitely Maybe is an amazing album, What's The Story was great, everything else was pretty much ? after that. They long overstayed their welcome

Aww man, mixed feelings, I think the Masterplan was a great album and their discog got ignored after Morning Glory, songs like Live Forever, Supersonic and Cast No Shadow are better than the likes of Wonderwall.
Possibly agreed with them wanting to be the Beatles, but they are definitely talented, Noel Gallagher live on Acoustic is something to behold.
Possibly my favourite Oasis track:
'Bound with all the weight of all the words he tried to say,
as he faced the sun he cast no shadow...
and as they took his soul, they stole his pride....'
Nice IMO.
